Super disappointed that the Viking museum is closed for YEARS, so this was the best we could do. It was interesting with a lot of AI and VR, if that’s your thing.

The overall experience was very good. Plenty of material to look at, engage in and experience. As a first timer to Oslo and Norway the Viking Planet experience gives some good grounding into Norway's Viking history. Well worth the visit.

Very interesting and the Icelandic guy in the VR section was really entertaining. It's a definite visit if staying in Oslo. Letting the modern age introduce us to the past.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Make sure you understand what you’re coming to see though. This isn’t a museum in the traditional sense - it’s a virtual exhibition and frankly, all the better for it. The ‘stands’ are perfect with enough information without boring overkill. Clearly a LOT of money has been spent on VR and to some extent, AI. Talking of which, don’t miss the Viking image generator…. Lastly, the staff were nuts (in a good way 😉) So, come knowing what you you’re going to see and it’s 5 stars all day long.

The Viking planet is a virtual tour of the Viking past 750 - 1066. From 4d headsets to getting your selfie taken as a Viking hero, it’s an interesting and myth busting way to spend a few hours. Having Danish blood it’s interesting to learn a bit more about my ancient history. Usual Viking based stuff to buy in the shop. Horned helmets for kids, and sheep skin for those not travelling light by Ryan Air.
