Wild Sweden
DAY 1: ENTERING WOLF TERRITORY We meet up at Köping train station at 12 noon. We will drive to our storage where we will re-pack everything in the backpacks before we head out in the forest to begin your adventure. When we are all set we will leave the civilization and head out to a nearby forest, the territory of a resident wolf family. Arriving in the forest we embark on a forest hike to set up camp. Hammocks are strung up, and together, we prepare for our first night under the stars. A crackling campfire and an outdoor feast mark the evening, the sun bidding us farewell over the tranquil woods. Imagine this: a dark forest, trees whispering, and the night sky overhead, all while knowing a wolf family roams nearby. We wait in anticipation, the experience of hearing wolves howl can be both meditative and thrilling. Night in hammocks.
Skinnskatteberg
DAY 2: WOLF TRACKING AND WATCHING Rise and shine to a forest breakfast with steaming coffee and tea. If we believe that there is a chance to spot wolves we may get up for a morning excursion. Today, our focus shifts to tracking — paw prints, droppings, and other telltale signs that wolves are sharing the landscape. Dive into the world of wolf behavior and current conservation issues, answering burning questions: • What defines a wolf territory? • Why do wolves howl? • Who's the leader of the pack? • How many wolves does it take to kill a moose? As night falls, be ready for a silent, headlamp-lit walk through rugged terrain. Our destination: a strategic spot where we settle in, listening for the captivating sounds of the night. Night in hammocks.

We were having the Wolf Trip during our vacation and it was fantastic! During that event we learned a lot about wolfs and their behavior. We camped in tents, had a great meal in the Woods and started to track the wolfpack when IT startest to get darker. In the end we managed to hear the wolfhowl, what was really nice, but eben if we end up didn't hearing them, I'd completely recommend doing the trip.

A great experience!! Everything were done with respect to nature and its animals. The workshop was way above the expectations and the guides made this trip a real wild nature experience. We got to understand the biology of the wolves and why they are famous for being difficult to find. Highly recommended!!!

This was an unforgettable experience that has had a deep impact on me and how I am going to view wilderness from now on. The team of guides, Ronja, Simon and Per gave us a well planned experience, shared their knowledge and were very including and helpful during the whole stay. Their deep love for wilderness is clear and admirable. To be in a wolf territory was overwhelming and to hear the pack howl was beyond my expectation. Wild Sweden has taken on a great task-not only do they give you a personal experience, they educate people to care for the wilderness -and this they do very well. The trip is well organized, the food is great and neatly prepared (I even got a vegetarian meal) the care for everyone in the group is clear and you feel you are in good hands. I will be following their future work and come back for more.

Mary and Simon from Wild Sweden are so knowledgeable about the Scandinavian Wildlife. We spend a wonderful evening with them at the camp learned so much about this wonderful animal. Then we left for a few hours in the forest, hoping to hear them. Our guides proved to have invested a lot of time in preparing these night and were able so show multiple evidence that we were in Wolf Country. Then they did there best to put us in a situation where we could actually hear wolves, but always with absolute respect of the wolves and the surrounding nature. During this night, our group saw a Moose, a badger and had the incredible privilege to hear the wonderful howling of wolf pups.

Such a amazing trip! We went no so far away from Skinkateberg to hear the wolfs and to have a connecting moment in the nature with yoga and meditation, Was a spectacular experience. I really appreciate the professionalism of Markus and Cristiana. They know a LOT! about the wild nature of Sweden and they are so open to share the knowledge. They create a real deep and wise atmosphere with the meals and the way to approach to the nature. I really recommend it. the howl of the wolves is majestic and mystical.

Fantastic!! ...the "wild forrest retreat" gave me the chance of having a complete connection with pure nature and with myself. Howling with wolves, open fire cooking, meditation out in the wilderness, hot sauna at Shambala, and meeting very interesting people... unforgettable! Besides, the complement between Markus's wild-nature wisdom and Christiana's meditation and yoga's knowledge it's perfect to clear the way into a much more profound experience. Totally recomendable!

An incredible experience to hear wolves howling in the night. After going on several safaris in Afrika and Borneo, this is definitely on the top 5 list! The guides were very knowledgable. Tented by a beautiful lake, ate a good dinner from Färna Herrgård, and were extremely lucky with the weather

Excellent guides and well organised event. For anyone interested in a true wildlife experience in Sweden, this is a must do. There are no guarantees of wolf encounters, they are completely wild animals after all, which added to the excitement when we did hear them howl out loud in close proximity in the pitch black night.
