Experience the world's most haunted city on a ghost tour of Edinburgh and be spooked by one of the city's most infamous sons as they lead you around the dark side of the Old Town. Discover the hidden wynds (alleys) off the Royal Mile and hear some of Edinburgh’s horrifying secrets.

Then, visit what is regarded as the most haunted graveyard in the world at "Greyfriars Kirkyard." Finally, go deep underground and explore the Edinburgh Vaults beneath the streets. Completed in 1788, the series of chambers were used to house taverns and as storage space for illicit material, including the bodies of people killed by serial killers Burke and Hare for their medical experiments.

Journey through over 400 years of history and hear terrifying true tales of hangings, torture, murders and witchcraft. Shiver at the weird noises and unexplained smells that make an appearance after dark!

Fred Knox was amazing! What a diva. Such a great tour, we had a lot of fun (while learning a lot too). We would definitely recommend booking a tour!

This was a great exploration of the history of Edinburgh’s lesser known myths and stories. Our guide Fredrick was great and his character work was easily the best part of the tour.

I had a lot of fun on this tour. If you're a fan of the Dungeons for their blend of comedy, scares and education then you'll certainly enjoy this as well. Somehow managed to be immersive despite being mostly out in the open contemporary streets of Edinburgh. Guide Lafayette did a great job of keeping a large group of people entertained and informed. I'm particularly impressed with his ability to remember little details about the group, making sure everyone felt involved.

  • Disappointing, dissatisfaction and SO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS

Do not waste your money. The tour guide was good, but the tour wasn't. Walking around places where you can do it without paying. Alot of Walking, and no scary stuff. We was looking forward to the infamous paranormal underground but it was not scary at all. We was a full group and there was barely any space. The underground vault was meant to be the highlight but it was just more spooky stories of the plague in a dark claustrophobic room with 20 people. For the price of 36£, do not do this. It is without a doubt so expensive to what was delivered. To sum it up, disappointing.

Had a great time on the tour with Maggie Dickson, AKA Half Hanged Maggie, she was very knowledgeable and tried to include everyone. I highly recommend this tour, and if Maggies doing the tour, even better.
