What To Expect

Day 1

Thethi Valley

Accommodations

Theth

Our day will start early morning and we will head to North Albania. In about 1.5 hours we will arrive in Shkodra and will have a nice coffee or tea in a traditional coffee bar, which has an exhibit of old Albanian objects, traditional dresses, etc. Shortly will leave and take the way to Thethi valley, one of the most beautiful in Albania. The road passes through steep mountains breathtaking and of unparallel beauty. Once in Thethi, we will get accommodated to our guest house welcomed with mountain tea and honey from the area.

After a short rest and a quick lunch will get on the way to explore Thethi valley. We will visit the small village with the characteristic mountaineer house, the Isolation Tower, and will tell the story of blood feuds. The tradition and the local canon are still very strong in those areas and the people still solve their problems based on those laws.

Grunasi Waterfall

We will walk for about 30 min to go to Grunasi waterfall and enjoy its beauty. Grunasi Waterfall. is the most spectacular in the area, known especially for the change of the colors depending on the season we are in. The waters are coming down from 25 m high and are sparkling clean and potable waters. On our way back we will visit the Old Mill of Theth, which is still used by the locals. After a long walking afternoon will be back to our guesthouse to have dinner and to rest.

Day 2

Nderlyse Pools and Blue Eye of Capre

Early morning after a filling local breakfast, we will hike towards the Blue Eye of Capre. First on our way will get to Nderlyse village where we will enjoy the pools created by a stream of water, which are amazing in their style. The water is very clean, blue, and icy cold. On top of the pools, there is a wooden bridge, very romantic.

Blue Eye of Theth

Next is the Blue Eye of Capre one of the most beautiful springs in all Albania. The water is crystal clear and very cold, the most courageous dares to take a swim for a few seconds. We will hike for about 1 hour each way to go to the Bluey Eye and you will be rewarded by its beauty. We will start our way back and at about 3 pm will be back at our guest house, after a long hike. We will get our staff and start the way back to Tirana, stopping shortly in Shkodra.
