  • Not entertaining

My wife.and I attended for a Matinee performance. My wife enjoyed the performance more than I did. I thought the rap type dialogue difficult to follow and muddled. The cast tried their best, but if its entertainment your after for me this is not the show to see.

Don’t Bother!! Booked for my husband’s 40th and we were both looking forward to seeing this. Well, I lasted about 30mins in there and ducked out to the foyer, my husband got to the interval and we jointly decided we had seen and heard enough and left without looking back! It was loud, the singing and rapping was so unclear the story line is impossible to understand and follow. The acting is like what you’d expect from second year drama school students and one of the lead female singers had a really edgy, screechy voice. It was a real disappointment for a West End musical and a waste of time and money. There’s many good productions in the West End so don’t waste your time with this one!

I expected to see the stage with my front row seat but it was HIGH above me! Without a view of more than heads it was a crushing blow to what should have been a highlight of my trip. Acting and music were fabulous!

The music was excessively loud, overpowering the very simple singing from the actors, making it impossible to follow the lyrics. Combined with poor sound quality and mumbling, the words were completely lost beneath repetitive noise. The venue felt like a sauna—unbearably hot. I struggled to stay through the first half and left as soon as the interval began.

  • Hamilton musical is brilliant…a must see!

This show is absolutely amazing! I read a good many bad reviews and so didn’t book. Decided to give it a go and so glad I did. I’m a frequent musical goer and this is top of my favourites right now. If you don’t know the story it helps to have a quick 2 minute read about beforehand, just to give you a guide. The show has amazing cast, fab choreography…honestly it’s a must see.

We were in London on holiday from Australia, thought we would go to Hamilton as it very popular. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant music and the energetic performances. Even though we are in our seventies, we found the rap music brilliant and the story easy to follow and moving.
