The Park provide seated shared transportation on a truck from the entrance to the Main Plaza for people that have difficulty walking.

What To Expect
Tikal National Park
Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and after an hour and 30 minute drive you'll arrive at Tikal National Park. You will visit the main highlights and get the opportunity to climb some of the most important structures. To get the full understanding of the greatness of this civilization, your guide will explain the dynastic history of the rulers of this great city and full description of the structures and what you are observing.
Great Plaza
Most of this interesting hike will be under the canopy of the trees so you´ll be well protected from the sun but under the watch of Spider and Howler monkeys and the many species of birds found in Tikal. Twin Pyramid Complex Q will be one of our stops before getting to the Great Plaza, a commemorative complex unique to Tikal and your first opportunity to climb a pyramid and your first carved monument of the 29th king of the ruling dynasty. After a short walk passing through another Twin Pyramid Complex you get to an original causeway which takes you exactly behind the most iconic temple in Tikal, The Great Jaguar Temple.

5.00We had a wonderful day with Reyes at Tikal, from the sunrise (foggy but none the less amazing) to an extensive visit. He knows as much about the Mayan culture and history as about the jungle wildlife, and was so passionate and fun. He was very attentive and really wanted us to have the best experience, and succeeded : hours have flown by, and we could not imagine a better way to discover Tikal.
Avoid this tour company. They are unethical and rude.

1.00I booked two trips. I had to change the date for one of the days. They had told me I could and then said I could not. I ended up losing the price of the ticket (about $100). Lionel started off nice and then turned cold after I turned his offer to spend time with him down. There are many other options to book the same tour. Anything would be better than these folks.

He knew what our interests were before we vocalized it! Absolutely fabulous!!! Do not miss out on this tour! The Mayan Ruins are stunning and you’ll be in awe from the moment you enter the park.
