If you want to do Tikal tour, no need to search for other companies. Our guide, Kender and our driver Fidias are excellent companions for the trip. Kender is very knowledgeable in explaining the history of the Maya and particularly Tikal. He is very patient and very well prepared with his iPad to show as much as he can. He also took time and or rushing at all which make the trip enjoyable and memorable. Thank you to Elmer, Kender and Fidias.

Kendal was our guide. Kendal is an excellent guide and knows Tikal like the back of his hand. We will always recall our experience with Kendal as very memorable, he’s like family.

Elmer was an AMAZING guide - our time in Tikal with him was so special! Tikal itself is so beautiful and sacred and Elmer was so deeply knowledgeable of Tikal, the people, and the jungle itself. Our whole group had so much fun with Elmer and we all learned a lot! I highly recommend spending time in Tikal with Elmer and Tikal VIP Tours!

We did 3 tours with Tikal VIP Tours. First one to Tikal with Elmer as our guide was amazing. He is very knowledgeable and great at telling the story of Tikal and describing everything you see so you can understand the history. He’s passionate, kind and you’re never bored. I can’t recommend Tikal VIP Tours and Elmer enough. And his English is excellent. The second tour was to Yaxha with Gelver. He was also knowledgeable but not as much fun as Elmer. Yaxha is a smaller site but just as beautiful and there are less tourists. It was fun climbing the tall pyramid there with stunning views of the jungle. Last tour was with a helicopter to El Mirador. We were the only ones at the site. You get to see the on-going archeological sites that are still uncovering reliefs. Climbing El Danta, the largest pyramid was mind blowing. Oliver and Elmer were our guides and we had so much fun. We flew there in a half hour helicopter ride from Flores. It was a perfect day. Do not hesitate to take a tour with Tikal VIP Tours. You will not be disappointed.

Our private tour was amazing! We flew into Flores for the day to visit Tikal. Our guide and driver Anibal were waiting for us at the airport. We then stopped by for some breakfast and headed to Tikal. The entire tour was filled with amazing views and shared facts from our guide. He was extremely helpful. Lunch was also provided and delicious! Our driver then left us to explore Flores before we went back to the airport. It was an amazing day and we cannot recommend this tour enough!

What a fabulous experience! Elmer was an outstanding guide, he took on an immersive experience through Mayan history and culture as we meandered along less trodden paths through the jungle. We emerged into clearings with views of the Tikal ruins and had close encounters with toucan, monkeys and coati. This was followed by a great lunch. Elmer was very knowledgeable and passionate about the park, history and flora and fauna and pitched it specifically for us. He organised our tickets in advance so we skipped the queue. The car was new and clean and Daniel the driver was excellent. This couldn’t have been better. Thank you Elmer

We only had one day to see Tikal, so I wanted to make sure we'd have a good English-speaking guide who would show us everything we wanted to see at our own pace. I booked with Tikal VIP and am so glad I did! Elmer was an amazing guide - so passionate and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions, brought the history to life, and even introduced us to the wildlife of the jungle with a few special bird spottings and lots of monkeys. He arrived at our hotel on time (8 am to give us a bit more time to have breakfast before the tour) with Anibal, the driver. The car was comfortable and clean for the hour+ drive. Elmer took us on a route the reverse of most tours, so we avoided the crowds and climbed the tallest structures when there was shade. They provided drinks - bottles of water and sports drink (much appreciated!), so be sure to bring a small backpack. The lunch afterwards was good, though slow. What really stood out was the experience and knowledge that Elmer has of the history, culture, archeology, and nature of this place and his excitement to share it. If you're at all on the fence, don't book a group tour or take your chances with a less-informed guide - get Elmer and his staff to give you the VIP treatment!

That day we took a private tour in Tikal, it was perfect. Fidias , our driver, a very pleasant, kind, caring person, our guide Luis who toured us in French, knows perfectly the Mayan history of Tikal, architecture, different temples. He also has knowledge in botany and animals. We had a magical time, wonderful in his company. Many thanks to all😊 Bravo Elmer for the whole organization 😊😘
