Tin Adventure Sea Tour
Enjoy a convenient pickup service either by local truck on road from the hotel lobby or directly by speed boat from the hotel beach on Koh Lanta. Meet the friendly and professional crew of Tin Adventure Sea Tour on the boat and get a warm welcome with safety instructions and important information about the tour program. Cruise by comfortable speed boat with 35 limited seats in less than 30 minutes to Koh Mook and anchor in front of the spectacular Emerald Cave - the highlight of the tour. Put your life-jackets on and swim through an 80-meter dark tunnel with headlamps between the group members. Finally, the daylight is started to stream through and you will discover a 360° rainforest wall which is disappearing into the clouds above, protecting a pristine lagoon, hidden within the island. Continue to Koh Kradan and swim in the open water with a shallow coral reef. A buffet lunch of local Thai food is served at the beach on the island. After lunch, you can walk along the beach for a bit, wade into the water, and just take it easy. This beach truly is serene – the water is crystal clear, and the sand is white and fine with seashells as you come closer to the water. The next snorkel stop is at Koh Chuak, a small island with its own charm that actually lies in the sea. Beneath the aquamarine water is a whole new world of colors created by coral reefs, fish and other sea creatures that needs to be explored. The last stop will be on Koh Ngai, also referred to as Koh Hai. It's another island off the coast of Trang without roads and shops at all, only with a couple of resorts, tranquility and a gorgeous beach scenery. This is the perfect place to relax and bring the day to a close before heading back to your hotel on Koh Lanta. The guides were excellent. The snorkelling was good and the beaches were great. The sea at the entrance to the Emerald cave was quite rough, a bit more direction to people to stay away from the sides of the cave would be advisable.

Positives- hotel pick up and drop off was good and the food and water was good. Negatives- the boat wasn’t well set up for a day trip. Not much space to relax or to see any scenery when travelling. No boat briefing re our itinerary and the boat arrived at all places at the same time as lots of other boats so it was crowded. I’d always wanted to visit Ko Kradan but the reality was that you get dropped off in the edge of the island with everyone else and stand up to eat lunch on the edge of a narrow slip of sand. Emerald cave. No briefing about what to expect. The cave is beautiful but is packed with tours going through and so you get kicked and jostled a lot. It’s tidal and so hard to swim even for strong swimmers with life jackets. Some boats had a system where they escorted people through in a chain. Our boat left everyone to sort themselves and it was very dangerous, dark as the tour leader wasn’t close by with head torch. Recommendations- limit tour numbers allowed to go into and out of the cave at any time. One in and one out. Tour operator needs a better boat briefing and must do the safety system for getting people in and out. All in all- too many people and not a relaxing day. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We had an amazing time. The tour was done very professionally and punctually. No stay on each island was too long or too short. The snorkeling was great, especially for inexperienced snorklers. The Emerald cave was excellent. Expect a lot of people to be doing the tour at the same time from other boats. A great day out and reasonably priced. The food, refreshments and staff were top notch.

- Very well organized: Hotel pickup and subsequent transfer back to the hotel worked great - Delicious food and plenty of drinks available: For lunch there was masaman curry or a vegetarian dish as well as fruit - Locations: Plenty of time at each spot for snorkeling or lying on the beach or exploring the cave. In addition, we always arrived before the big tour groups, so we were usually very few people at the location. - Group sizes: Was with about 30-35 people not too large

We had booked a 4 island tour through Tin Adventure, but when we arrived, a person, who was not from Tin adventure, explained that there were not enough bookings with Tin adventure and that we would be taken care of by another company. The result: more than 50 people on a boat (while Tin adventure promised us 35 maximum). There was barely room for everyone to sit (some children on the parents’ lap). We made 2h boat really very tight (and with people who were obviously grumbling). Too bad because the snorckeling at koh kradan was top, the food was good and the staff friendly.

Friendly and professional crew, taking us to beautiful sights! Our guide did a great job telling us timelines for the day (boat travel time and time at each stop), and was informational about activities. On our day, the Emerald Cave was filled with jelly fish (at lunch, the boats that went in the morning told our guide). Our guide told us before we went, and gave our boat the option of not going or going so the crew could look if the jellies were gone. They were not gone, so we did not go in. While it would have been cool to see the Emerald Cave, I am grateful the crew and guide were honest about risks and dangers. The other stops all had great snorkeling! Mask and snorkel are provided, no fins. At the last snorkel spot, most people stayed on the beach but my husband and I went to snorkel. We went the wrong way off the beach and would have missed the reef, but the captain came into the water and gave us a guided tour of the reef.

Best tour I have done so far in Thailand. The swimming through the cave was a great experience - there were life jackets for anyone that didn’t feel confident swimming the distance or in the sea. The crew had a dry bag for your phones so you could swim without them but have them at the beach at the end of the cave/tunnel. We weren’t able to stop at all of the snorkelling sights due to lots of jelly fish - the crew took great care to ensure where we swam was safe. The food at lunch was good and I was catered for as a vegetarian which most tours haven’t done. The beach stops were great too. All in all a great day out.

Very interesting to see other islands island Koh Lanta. But was very much boating in comparison to time spent in water / beach. Emerald Cave was an experience. Highly recommended. The snorkeling was good, not the best. Bad coral reef where we got to snorkel the day. The staff was world class, as always in Thailand. Can be recommended, but there are certainly better alternatives, and worse
