We had a great experience with this tour—it was well curated, with each stop thoughtfully planned and spaced out so the day never felt rushed or exhausting. The van was clean and well maintained, which made the travel between locations very comfortable. We also appreciated the heads-up about possible closures in Togakushi Shrine; although the upper shrine was closed during our visit, it actually worked out well since we were traveling with seniors and a preschooler. Do look out for possible closures if you’re hoping to visit the upper shrine or if you’re traveling with a more active group. Tome, our guide, really made the trip even more enjoyable. He was punctual, engaging, and very knowledgeable about the area, sharing interesting insights throughout the tour. He was especially great with kids—our 4-year-old absolutely adored him and even said he missed him after the tour ended. Highly recommended!
