It took over the wholesale business from the aging Tsukiji Market and provides tourists with an opportunity to observe the market action and to dine at restaurants across its large, modern premises.
The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace - Edo Castle Ruin
The remains of the main tower of the Edo castle, gardens of seasonal flowers like roses, bamboos, cherry blossoms, tea trees, orchards of classical species and others encircle the lawn. Is a spacious, sprawling garden in the center of Tokyo. It's the only part of the inner palace that's open to the public.

5.00Had a 10 hour layover in Tokyo so decided to book a tour with Xplorjapan ( process is seamless via WhatsApp) and requested Ryu Fuse as my guide/driver who was highly recommended by my sister in law. By the time I arrived at Haneda , Ryu was already there and patiently waited for me as I changed for the colder weather of Tokyo compared to Manila and Bangkok. He drove a Toyota Alphard so I did bring my carry on to the minivan instead of putting it in a locker. Fir this time of the year, naje sure to bring gloves and hat because by noon , the wind picked up. Ryu is very fluent in English so I had fun talking to him during rides between sights and he was quite knowledgeable about the history of each destination. Since I am by myself , he was kind enough to take my pictures except for the couple of places ( Shibuya and portion of Senso-ji Temple) where he had to stay with the van. My impressions- Shibuya and Skytree were OK since I live only 4 hours away from New York City. Anamori had the Torii gates which I wanted to see and it inspires me to want to see the original ones in Kyoto. I would go back and spend more time in Senso- ji. Others were turned off by the somewhat commercialized main street infront of the temple but I love the vibrant energy of it including the side streets. The crowd was mostly locals and loved seeing some of them in their kimonos. It gave me a little insight into the real Japanese lifestyle/culture( food) with some help also from Ryu. The last destination was another super crowded area, the Harujuku/Takeshita Sts. Saw a few young people in cosplay.. A must see but once is enough. Ryu dropped me off at Haneda with enough time to get through the super crowded security check- in and make it to my gate with time to relax before boarding. I have been to European and Middle East cities and none compare to Tokyo in its cleanliness!!! I was glad I booked this Tokyo tour with Xplorjapan and had Ryu as my guide, instead of hanging around the terminal.
It made a difference when you gave a good driver/guide Ryu.

5.00Ryu, our driver/guide was excellent and professional in every way. Each place/landmark we stopped at, he tells the history of the place. He also gives recommendations of the best place to eat local traditional Japanese food. Ryu was Super helpful. He is also great at taking photos, we like all the pictures he took of us. We enjoyed chitchatting with him and highly highly recommend him. We will be specifically ask for Ryu on our next trip back to Tokyo. Thank you Ryu! It was such a pleasure to meet you.

5.00We had a wonderful day with Ryu touring Tokyo for the day. What we really appreciated was being able to decide what most interested us so that Ryu could custom design the day for us. And using a private car with Ryu was awesome in getting around more efficiently in this huge city! We visited Shibuya crossing, Tsujiki market and Skytree with Ryu giving us so much interesting facts about the sites and about Tokyo in general! I highly recommend contacting Ryu for an AWESOME time!
