• An amazing tour through the great rivers and quiet areas of Tokyo

  Route F was an amazing opportunity to experience the quiet residential areas of Tokyo, which were very different from the tourist-packed areas like Shibuya. The wide openness of the Arakawa River and the quiet serernity of the Nakagawa River were the highlights of this route, along with a few unexpected gems that I won't spoil here. Our guide, Takashi, was organized, entertaining, helpful and attentive to our needs. He make sure we took regular breaks to rest, hydrate and refule on snacks. He explained the exhibits to us at the local museums, and make sure we knew what to do at the local shrines. After the tour, we had a good, long chat over snacks and drinks, where Takashi provided more tips on how to get the most out of our travels in Japan.

  This is my third trip with TGT. Every time has been a great experience. The guiding is excellent and they take good care of you. No matter if it is on the water or on a bike, they will make you feel very secure.

  The entire tour was far beyond our expectations, and it is hard to find a moment which stands out, as really everything was fantastic! Organization was perfect and everything went totally smooth. Absolute 5-star rating for the overall experience, our amazing tour and most important our tour guide Takashi-san!!!

  We joined a wonderful half‑day cycling tour on a sunny December day. The guides were sharing fascinating insights about Tokyo and the places we stopped along the way. Tokyo is vast, and exploring it by bike makes perfect sense—you cover more ground while still feeling connected to the city. There were plenty of chances to ask questions about things we’d noticed around Tokyo. We traveled as three generations. My mother had been nervous about cycling in Tokyo beforehand, but thanks to the guides and carefully chosen routes that mostly followed smaller streets and paths, her worries quickly disappeared. The biggest endorsement came from my 11‑year‑old son, who cycles every single day. He declared it the best bike ride of his life.

  Wow! 🤩 What a wonderful Saturday cycle throughout Tokyo!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Our guide, Takashi, was fabulous, highlighting architectural gems through humour, fun facts and engaging conversation, giving us context for what we were seeing. Takashi also uses a hand-drawn visual binder, which we all appreciated—cementing what we learned at each stop. 🗼This is a must-do activity in Tokyo, bringing visitors inside the fascinating fabric that is Japan. • Unforgettable Tokyo Cycling Tour with Mana and Naoko

  Mana and Naoko offered us the most wonderful cycling tour through Tokyo — visiting the Perfect Days toilets by Wim Wenders. We did the tour on our very last day in Japan, and it could not have been more perfect way to end our trip. They went far beyond anything we could have expected: warm, attentive, and full of genuine hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, including a beautiful bento box picnic in the park. It was one of those rare experiences that feel both personal and profound — the kind you never forget. We are deeply grateful to Mana and Naoko for sharing their time, kindness, and passion for Tokyo with us. Highly, highly recommended!

  We had a great experience that gave an opportunity to quickly explore the Tokyo history and culture. We used this as a start point for further exploration in subsequent days while in Tokyo. Our guide, Naoko, was well organised and knowledgeable. We had a great day with her.

  I never thought I’d be riding a bike in Tokyo! I’m so glad I did this tour which had been recommended by friends. Our expert and lovely guide Naoko took us along beautiful green streets, down quiet winding lanes, and through fancy parts of Tokyo we may not have seen otherwise. A yummy take-out lunch in a serene garden setting was a bonus. We felt perfectly relaxed following Naoko without needing to think about which way to go. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys exploring by bike. Thank you Naoko for a fantastic day!
