In the early morning, meet your local guide in a centrally located meeting spot. Strap on your helmet, jump on your bicycle, and begin your 6.5-hour tour of Tokyo. Starting among the tall skyscrapers of Shinjuku, ride at a relaxed pace through backstreets to see a small shrine in a residential area, a great example of Tokyo's contrasting modern and traditional atmospheres. Then, head over to Meiji-jingu, the city’s most famous Shinto religious site, through Yoyogi Park where cherry blossoms bloom in the spring. Take your time to walk around the peaceful gardens that surround the shrine with your guide. Pedal your way to Japan’s Roppongi Hills entertainment complex through the main street of Omotesando — one of the most sophisticated shopping areas in all of Japan — and then take a backstreet to the Aoyama cemetery, which looks and feels like Tokyo 100 years ago. Next, stop at a local supermarket to buy a bento box for lunch, just like local at your own expense. Then, visit Zōjō-ji temple where Tokyo Tower can be seen just behind. Enjoy lunch on the waterfront just beside the Rainbow Bridge with panoramic views of the Tokyo skyline including the Aqua City Odaiba complex. After lunch, bike through the main and back streets of Ginza. Check out this exclusive shopping district then cycle your way to the Imperial Palace, home to a traditional Japanese garden, tea pavilion, stone walls, and a moat. Ride through the two outer gates of the castle, then follow along some of the large moat. Head back to Shinjuku and to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Ascend 48 floors in a high-speed elevator and enjoy the 360-degree view of Tokyo, including the Tokyo Skytree, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Its then just a 5-minute ride back to the original meeting point where your tour concludes.

Gaku is thee best bike tour Guide in Tokyo! He is a Professional cyclist who confirms „clear“ with every turn, so no fears you will run in to Cars or pedestrians. He has designed his own 6.5 hour tour thru many neighborhoods in Tokyo, back streets where private unknown shrines are maintained by the neighbors living there. You visit also the main shrines, Temples, high end shopping district, grocery shopping and around the Imperial palace. He is sensational with in depth historical knowledge and his laugh is infectious. You will learn so much about Japanese culture in one bike ride thru Tokyo with Gaku. Hiii!

Gahku was our subaraschi Guide! He is such a professional cyclist always calling out every Turn, „clear“ to be confident no one is coming. He did such a fantastic job. The Route is approximately 17 miles, however it felt more like 8 miles. He is very measured with the changing of the Traffic lights, you go right thru, the Temples, Shrines, backalleys, truly best bike tour in Tokyo. Arigato!

My wife, I and our 16 year old had a great tour. The traffic was relatively light and combined with Gaku's clairvoyant reading of Tokyo traffic lights we cycled smoothly through Sunday traffic. Great to see some of Tokyos smaller streets. Stopped at wonderful supermarket and bread shop for lunch provisions. Gaku was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide.

We had booked the 6 hours tour and were very happy after the tour. The start was professional with introduction into the bikes and the route and about group behaviour. Then we enjoyed a full day of lokals guidance and some hidden spots as well. We could feel the guide knows the city well and had the best routes for bikes for us prepared. The guidance was careful and he payed lot of attention on our safety. Clear signals and good communication. We would recommend this tour to all our friends who come to Tokyo. Hope to see you soon again.

When I called home today, I told my spouse, with the exception of the birth of our children and our wedding, this was the best day of my life. And I live spectacular life. The experience was like nothing I’ve ever had before. Gaku showed me such an amazing time and treated me like a guest at a five star hotel. The route was absolutely perfect. He even provided me photos of my trip throughout the entire ride. I really cannot believe you get all of this for the price he charges. This is a must do for everyone coming to Tokyo.

Great tour. I lead bike and kayak trips back home, and so I know a good tour when I experience one! Gaki has selected a great route and sights. The riding is active but isn't too challenging - few hills, and lots of chances for stops, though cycling in Tokyo is very different than where I live due to the scarcity of bike lanes. I did this tour on my second day in Japan and it was a great introduction to Tokyo. Definitely recommended.
