In the early morning, meet your local guide in a centrally located meeting spot. Strap on your helmet, jump on your bicycle, and begin your 6.5-hour tour of Tokyo. Starting among the tall skyscrapers of Shinjuku, ride at a relaxed pace through backstreets to see a small shrine in a residential area, a great example of Tokyo's contrasting modern and traditional atmospheres. Then, head over to Meiji-jingu, the city’s most famous Shinto religious site, through Yoyogi Park where cherry blossoms bloom in the spring. Take your time to walk around the peaceful gardens that surround the shrine with your guide. Pedal your way to Japan’s Roppongi Hills entertainment complex through the main street of Omotesando — one of the most sophisticated shopping areas in all of Japan — and then take a backstreet to the Aoyama cemetery, which looks and feels like Tokyo 100 years ago. Next, stop at a local supermarket to buy a bento box for lunch, just like local at your own expense. Then, visit Zōjō-ji temple where Tokyo Tower can be seen just behind. Enjoy lunch on the waterfront just beside the Rainbow Bridge with panoramic views of the Tokyo skyline including the Aqua City Odaiba complex. After lunch, bike through the main and back streets of Ginza. Check out this exclusive shopping district then cycle your way to the Imperial Palace, home to a traditional Japanese garden, tea pavilion, stone walls, and a moat. Ride through the two outer gates of the castle, then follow along some of the large moat. Head back to Shinjuku and to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Ascend 48 floors in a high-speed elevator and enjoy the 360-degree view of Tokyo, including the Tokyo Skytree, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Its then just a 5-minute ride back to the original meeting point where your tour concludes.

We had a fantastic day cycling around central Tokyo with Gaku! His tour is really well organised and gives visitors the chance to see both popular attractions and hidden gems. Gaku is so kind and loves to chat with everyone in the group. He also took pictures of us while riding and emailed them to us the same day. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys cycling!

Do you want to bike in Tokyo with a friend you have not seen for some time? If yes, this is Gaku and he will take you on a nice, relaxed and easy-going tour of Tokyo. Everything felt natural, normal and I did not even notice how the 6h30min went by, we were on time for every stop, without ever having to rush and also enjoyed some nice jokes, stories and all kinds of diverse and fun topics. We saw some special, off the beaten path typical/traditional places (you would not find them on your own, for sure!) and enjoyed the stories behind these places. He also took pictures of the group during the day and is flexible in case you have any specific requirements.

I joined Gaku’s bicycle trip in Tokyo and absolutely loved it! He’s an amazing guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and very passionate about showing the real Tokyo. I skipped some of the usual sightseeing spots because I joined this tour, and it did not disappoint — in fact, it was even better! Gaku showed us some real hidden gems that you’d never find on your own, and the ride gave me a whole new perspective of the city. For anyone who isn’t a regular cyclist, I’d recommend practicing a bit beforehand, as you’ll be biking on tarmac roads alongside cars — I did some practice and it definitely helped! Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience. Highly recommended if you want to explore Tokyo in a more local and unique way!

Gaku made our bike tour absolutely perfect! My wife and I decided to do this tour since we only had a few days to explore Tokyo on our honeymoon trip to Japan and figured it would be our best chance to see the most. It was well worth it, as we got to see all of the big sites we hoped for, as well as some lesser known sites that were also super interesting. It unfortunately rained a bit during our tour, but Gaku ensured we were safe the whole time, especially when riding in the streets. We were a bit concerned about the length of the tour, but with the planned stops and Gaku's guidance it was no problem at all. Gaku even took pictures along the way, which came out great, and he even sent them to use the same day. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

Gaku, our guide, was excellent. He took us to many hidden gems in Tokyo that we were able to enjoy without big crowds. The tour moved at an excellent pace, we stopped for a wonderful bento box lunch at the bay, and we always felt very safe navigating through the streets and back roads of Tokyo. Gaku was awesome in answering any questions we had along the way. Highly recommend this tour as a fabulous way to experience Tokyo!
