Myth of Tomorrow
The Myth of Tomorrow" is a large mural created by the famous Japanese artist Taro Okamoto, located in Shibuya Station, Tokyo. This striking piece depicts the horrors and destruction of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as a broader message of hope and rebirth. The mural, originally created in Mexico and later moved to Japan, was lost for many years before being rediscovered and restored. Now, it stands as a powerful symbol of post-war rebirth and the potential for a brighter future. Visitors to Shibuya can view this iconic work of art in the bustling context of one of Tokyo's most dynamic neighborhoods, making it a poignant stop in the heart of modern Japan.
Shibuya Crossing
Shibuya Crossing, often referred to as "The Scramble," is one of the most iconic landmarks in Tokyo, Japan. Located in front of Shibuya Station, this intersection is famed for being one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. Every few minutes, the traffic lights turn red in all directions, allowing hundreds of people to flood into the intersection from all sides, creating a remarkable spectacle of organized chaos. The area surrounding Shibuya Crossing is a hub of activity, filled with shopping, entertainment, and dining options, making it a vibrant snapshot of Tokyo's fast-paced urban culture. It's a must-see for visitors looking to experience the pulse of the city.

Nikki was my tour guide on my first evening in Tokyo. I learned local dives and culture I didn’t know through reading and the internet. She was engaging and shared examples of her first hand experiences from being a local in Tokyo. Because it was a rainy evening I had the luxury of being the only one joining Nikki’s Shibuya evening tour.

It is interesting tour of experiencing the Shibuya crossing at peak traffic movement. Also the experience of Izakaya and knowing the history and culture about the Izakaya was enlightening. The Tour Guide RIO did a very good explanation. Overall a very good tour to experience

Had a great time walking that crossing is something I won’t forget that many people crossing at the same time was unbelievable. My tour guide Loc was fantastic after the crossing took to spots tourist don’t go hidden ally ways bars and restaurants then the geshia district was at a good pace. The best part was learning about the history of Shibuya the famous painting in the mark building the famous dog statue. Having a good guide makes for a great tour if anyone wants to do this tour I highly recommend it especial if you have Loc as your guide.

We were very impressed with Soe and the quality local information she shared with us. We were really pleased with the tour and learnt lots of things you wouldn't know through research alone! The tour lasted around two hours, which was perfect for such a sunny day, and we went around the whole of Shibuya including Scramble, Matsushita Park and the Hachi statues Our tour guide Soe was friendly, welcoming and really gave the tour a personalised and thought-provoking feeling - very highly recommended!

We had a great time walking with Soe who was very knowledgeable and gave us great insider tips about the area! She delved into the history of Shibuya whilst also showing us the future and how the city is embracing the past - it was great to see that whilst walking around! Soe gave us dining options, entertainment options and even hotel options - places we wouldnt have known about without doing this tour! We went through the back streets and laneways that we would never have even realised existed not being locals! Thanks Soe for enriching our holiday!
