We had a wonderful time with Tomo. She was very kind and informative. She knew the market so well from the history to the vendors. We were impressed with her detailed explanations of everything. Prepared bites, produce, raw meats and fish, spices, household items and more. Without her we would have just glanced. But with her we tried all sorts of new flavors. She also took us to a shrine and taught us how to properly respect the history and culture. She truly enhanced the unique experience. Also, we met her early at 8:30 am. It was busy but not crowded. By the time we left at 11:30 it was packed. I’d definitely go early.

Hiro was an exceptional tour guide. With his guidance, we were able to explore the market much more thoroughly than we would have on our own. We tried a bunch of different foods and everything was delicious.
