Akiko did a fantastic job showing us around the fish market and explaining everything. She is so sweet and taught us origami at the end. Highly recommend her!

I think this was the best food tour I've been on. There were scheduled stops, but our guide Mutsuko, was quick to offer anything along the way while we explored the old Tsukiji market. First were bites of tuna, then raw oyster. Then, since it was snowing, we enjoyed hot beef broth from Tsukiji Ushitake. People usually have the superb A5 wagyu skewers, but when it's very cold like it was today, the shop makes broth from their wagyu. Our next stop was egg omelette that's usually served cold, but again, since it was snowing, they served it hot, which was delicious. Some unscheduled stops were tasting and buying dried Japanese snacks (like tuna jerky), eating seared scallops, and enjoying strawberries, both red and white. My husband and cousin enjoyed hot sake, while my sister and I enjoyed our hot lemon drinks at Tsukiji Peppers Cafe. And then we went to lunch! Everybody agreed that their favorite was the bonito sushi with ginger, followed by the conger eel sushi, though there were eight other pieces and they were all melt-in-your-mouth good. Our guide, Mutsuko. Is a decent and classy lady, very professional but also very intuitive. I would do this tour again, maybe in a different season to enjoy other food. Highly recommended.

Had an excellent time with Shun who is a big Beatles fan and also showed me some of the cafés that the members frequented. Shun was very knowledgable and shared great facts. Also enjoyed the sushi restaurant experience and I am not a big raw fish fan.

We had a bummer of an experience. Did not learn much and mostly just had free samples that we could have gotten without a guide. Unfortunately our Japanese guide did not like Japan. Just not as described by other reviews so probably it was just him, not the Japan wonder travel group as a whole.
