What To Expect
Casco Historico de Toledo
Toledo is one of the oldest and best-preserved cities in Spain, with monuments, museums, and works of art spanning millennia, from Roman ruins to spectacular Gothic cathedrals, mosques, and synagogues, as well as narrow cobblestone streets and romantic plazas. Our guided tour is an exterior walk through the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim quarters, with the option to visit the interior of Toledo's main monuments explained by a guide, such as the 13th-century Primate Cathedral of Spain, the Church of Santo Tomé, home to El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz," or the synagogues, with tickets purchased directly on-site, no prior reservation needed. *Monument entrance fees are not included. Your guide will recommend the main monuments you can visit, but if you have any special cultural or religious preferences, please let us know, and we will focus on those to offer you a customized visit.

5.00Our 3-generation family had an amazing time on our 1/2 day tour with Sonia. She was so knowledgeable and just a joy to be around. Had we realized how great it would be, we would have done a full day! Sonia's communication was excellent from the start -- letting us know where she would be and that she would have the taxis waiting for us. She customized the tour to our interests, providing her recommendations, but letting us choose where we wanted to go. Knowledge was incredible. We all learned so much. She kept her tour interesting, fun, and she has a great sense of humor! We arranged an age from 18 to 77, and we all adored her. We would love to do another tour with Sonia and cannot recommend her highly enough!

5.00Our Toledo tour was wonderfully hosted by Salome. She picked us up in a taxi from the train and we stopped at scenic spots before going to the town center. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the architecture and religious symbolism in the area. She lives in Toledo. We visited one synagogue, a former mosque and the main church and in every location she was was engaging. We stopped for marzipan samples and visited a 6th generation ceramics shop. She even made our lunch reservations for us in town so we could eat before returning to the train. Highly recommend this tour.
