What To Expect

Muralla de Toledo

Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains. King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city. Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.

The Plaza de Zocodover is a square of the city of Toledo. It was the nerve center of the city during most of its history, acting as its main square. A part of it was designed by Juan de Herrera in times of the reign of Felipe II

Our guide (Arantxa) maintained a good pace throughout the day, was very knowledgeable and friendly. A great mix of history, beautiful places for photos, lunch options and some time to shop for gifts along the way. She was also focused on everyone's safety during the tour, which was nice and practical. Overall a good value and delivered on all expectations - highly recommend, especially in November when not as busy.

The tour was fine, but for us it was slow. Very slow walking through the beautiful city of Toeldo and since it was in 2 languages there was a lot of down time. We felt like we could have seen and learned more with just one language. The bus was very clean and comfortable.

Beatrice was so knowledgeable and kind. The pace, though the city, was perfect. We felt like we got a great overview of the area, history, culture, and cuisine. The city is stunning and welcoming. We absolutely loved it. And the final drive around the city to get a panoramic view was the cherry on top. Perfect day! It was worth every cent!

This was a wonderful tour. Our bus driver, Jose Antonio, was excellent. Our tour guide was Beatriz and she was very friendly and super knowledgeable. You really must see Toledo with an experienced tour guide like Beatriz because you will learn so much about the history and the beauty of this old city.

Beatrice was an excellent guide! She was knowledgeable and clear. Her dual translation was frequent so I was always involved in the conversation. The driver, Jose Antonio also did a great job.

Beatrice is a very knowledgeable guide and Jose Antonio is a good driver. We are really glad we signed up for this tour. It was excellent. The only improvement I would suggest is that it be advertised as a full day tour rather than half day as it currently is.
