What To Expect
Muralla de Toledo
Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains. King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city. Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.
Plaza De Zocodover
The Plaza de Zocodover is a square of the city of Toledo. It was the nerve center of the city during most of its history, acting as its main square. A part of it was designed by Juan de Herrera in times of the reign of Felipe II

4.00Our guide, Arantxa, was lovely. She spoke fluently in both Spanish and English. Unfortunately my Spanish is non existent so the chatter over the earphones with other patrons in Spanish was very distracting. I would have preferred the tour to be only in English. Arantxa was very passionate in her explanations of the art work and the frescoes. Everything was very well presented.

Don't miss Toledo if you will be in the area.. Historic works of art in an authentic setting. Tour guide Aranxia (spell?) was excellent. (April 9 2026)

4.00Guide was great. Went during peak season so it was pretty crowded. Could have skipped st tome’s church and the synagogue. OR would have liked more history about each location. Cathedral was stunning. Didn’t need more history there because there was so much to see. it was just so beautiful.

The day was both informative and fun, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I especially loved that she let me carry the flag and help her out—it made the tour feel even more interactive and personal. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Arantxa as your guide!

5.00Great tour of Toledo, a lot to see , but the guid did a great job at including a lot on the tour. Our guide, Arancha was great! Good job, highly recommended. Come prepared to walk a lot and if the rain is in the forecast bring an umbrella.

5.00The city tour of Toledo was beautiful and our tour guide gave us a lot of history of the city. The narrow streets were so quaint and easy to walk. We would have loved to stayed longer in the Catedral as it is absolutely beautiful. An hour was not enough time. The only negative was the listening device was spotty and couldn’t hear everything the guide said. Thank you for a great tour.
