Each recreatedtomb is filled with hieroglyphic wall inscriptions, stele engraved plaques, mummified human and animal remains, and over 450 meticulously crafted museum grade replica items made in Egypt using traditional goldsmithing methods. Located right in the heart of the Cairn city, this is Australia’s newest and most spectacular aquarium exclusively showcases the stunning marine and wildlife from TropicalNorth Queensland’s two World Heritage areas – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest. 5.00Went to the aquarium first and I must say not the best aquarium we have been to, but the 4 talks were very informative. We arrived at opening time so there was a queue with a ship in town, but entry was dealt with quickly, efficiently and a smile. Also, being first up lucky enough to see feeding time. However, the Tomb of the Pharoahs was amazing! You could spend a much time as you liked wandering from room to room. They have done a fantastic job replicating the tombs.

5.00Originally from Cairns, I’d never even heard of this place until a friend mentioned it — and I’m so glad they did. Joined with my mate, The Tomb of the Pharaohs is a hidden gem and a great way to discover a little slice of Egyptian history while in Cairns. The staff are passionate, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. Highly recommended for locals, tourists, and school excursions alike.

5.00An absolute MUST SEE! Step inside the doors and into the World of the Pharaoh's. One of the most incredible exhibitions I’ve ever seen. One you would expect to see in the world’s grandest galleries! This is not just any recreation of artefacts and tombs it’s been meticulously researched and recreated with Egyptian artists and consultation with the Egyptian government. Do not Leave Cairns without visiting!!!

5.00I discovered this by chance on the way to the aquarium, went in and was not disappointed. Items were well signed , a large collection. Many life-like sized coffins and mummies on display also statues and artifacts. If you are into Egyptian history you will thoroughly enjoy this.

5.00Absolutely fantastic. Well worth it. Husband who has been to Egypt says this exhibition is as close to the originals as you can get they are truly authentic would highly recommend for all ages, definitely will be returning.
