First we drive by the Stanley Hotel and talk about its rich history, then stop at an energy vortex on your way to Sheep's Lake; where the bighorn sheep love to hangout. Take a short stroll to a glorious waterfall where you can take amazing photos.
Drive up Trail Ridge Road or Old Fall River Road (a gentle one way dirt road that is open from about July 1st to Oct 1st). Travel through 3 different ecosystems while climbing over 12,000 feet in elevation. While at 12,000 feet you will take a break at the Alpine Visitor Center where you can visit the gift shop or take photos of the year-round glacial cirque.
On your journey down the mountain on Trail Ridge Road, the guide will stop and allow you to stretch your legs while you admire the beautiful overlooks. There are many diverse wildlife sightings such as: Moose, Elk, Deer, Big Horn Sheep and Birds, just to name a few.

5.00Cannot say enough great things about this company and excursion! The 4x4 Winter on the Rocks S'mores Jeep ride was a blast! We went with friends and our guide, "Indiana Joe," listened to our requests and accomodated them to the level we wanted. This tour has its own mountain, backroad "roller coaster", fire pit area, and lookout tower. It was a spectacular way to experience Estes in a whole new way. It was worth every penny for the 3 hour tour. Our guide even helped us find the elk herd to complete our trip. The warm blankets and option for open jeep or covered jeep made for a comfortable ride. The hot cocoa hit the spot. We went in the afternoon under cloud cover and spitting rain before it cleared up. We loved it!! Check out 4x4 Wildside Tours, you will be glad you did!

5.00We had such an amazing time on this tour! Treese was a wonderful tour guide. My husband and I had done a different tour through the park in June, so we wanted to try something different for our fall leaf tour with our 17 year old son. We had absolutely gorgeous weather, and it was such a fun experience having the open vehicle and wrapping up in the blankets they provide you. My husband also showed up to the office and realized that he had left his jacket at our hotel. The nice lady in the office offered him a jacket to borrow for our tour. They offered snacks and drinks, Treese took lots of pictures for us and was very interesting and informative. She also tried really hard to find some wildlife for us, but it was not in the cards that day. She said that the elk were probably all hanging out in town (which surprise, they were, and we saw a ton later on right outside the park). I 100% recommend this tour. I'm sure it would be amazing at any time of year, but the fall tour was so awesome!!!

5.00I found this place on Trip Advisor and the reviews were amazing. Then I contacted them about booking the Top of the World Tour, then again when our other couple had to cancel. The company was so positive and nice. When we got there we found out that is just how they are in person, so friendly. We drove up Sunday after two rainy days in Boulder and the weather was just beautiful. I wanted to see Rocky Mountain National Park again, we were there 48 years ago shortly after we were married. I knew I didn’t want to drive up there now, so this was a good choice. Park in the free parking area and take the riverwalk, it’s really easy and truly beautiful. The custom vehicles are really unique. The blankets are thick and soft, we needed them as the day went on, especially at 2 miles up. The snacks were an assortment of candy and cookies. Our guide C.E. is an interesting guy and a good guide, you could tell he loves Rocky Mountain National Park. He shared stories of history of the park, personal stories and experiences, the geology and geography of the mountains and of course spotting wildlife. We made several planned stops at a waterfall, lookouts and some of his favorite spots. We also stopped when we saw birds, turkeys, mule deer and elk. We saw so much, while sitting back and letting C.E. do the driving. Can’t say enough good things about WildSide

5.00Great trip up the road with James and his many dad jokes! He took us on several short hikes that we may not have gone on without him. We did the "Top of the World" tour. I will say that this is one of those routes that you could do on your own if you are already going to the National Park. If we could do this again, I would have booked one of the 4x4 tours and do some things that we couldn't drive on our own. That being said, this is a great trip and James was awesome!

5.00This was my second Top of the World tour. This trip my dad joined me. I was so thankful that Old Fall River Road was still open. Driving up that road makes the experience ever better. We even saw a bull moose going up! Our tour guide was full of all kinds of Estes Park and RMNP information. I really enjoy listening to the history and wildlife information. Sadly with the government shutdown the Alpine Visitor center was closed but the trail ridge store was open so that was nice. The views at the top are Amazing! I highly recommend this tour!

5.00Top of the World Tour was exceptional! Our guide, Therese was the best!! She was enthusiastic and fun and she knows so much about the area - plants and wildlife, places to eat, history - you name it! We have been on this tour four or five times now and it never gets old! The views from their open air vehicles are fabulous. We were able to go up Fall River Road to the Alpine Visitor Center and come down on Trail Ridge - what a treat!! You could drive it yourself, but why?? Can't recommend this tour highly enough.
