Peak Tram
Ride the Peak Tram to the iconic Peak (Round trip tickets included) Top 10 must do experience voted by visitors! The first Peak Tram commenced service on 30 May 1888 (first cable funicular of Asia) and has undergone various phases of modernization from coal-fired steam boilers in its earliest days to today’s super-efficient electronic control system. The 6th generation Peak Tram has been painted in a bespoke “Peak Tram Green”, in a nod to its heritage and earlier 3rd and 4th generation tramcars, which were in service from 1948-1959 and 1959-1989 respectively. Getting to the Peak by the Peak Tram is an unforgettable experience. One of the world's oldest and most famous funicular railways, the tram rises to 396 meters (about 1,300 feet) above sea level. It is so steep that the buildings you pass look like they are leaning a gradient of between 4 and 25.7 degrees!
Victoria Peak (The Peak)

This is possibly the worst tours we have ever done anywhere in the world. The guide was hopeless with very poor English (it was meant to be an English tour). She talked a lot but didn't tell us about the places we went. She also had a microphone that she did not know how to use properly. I could go on but have already wasted 6 hours on this dreadful experience.

Anyone new to Hong Kong will enjoy the tour. Anna, our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable. A lot of walking up and down.Could have omitted the prison and the jewelry store.

JACK was an excellent guide, who went out of his way to show the city and hidden gems. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting HK.

This was a great tour. Except the guide needed to communicate timings better. The group was also too large we prefer smaller groups. Visiting the Jewellery factory was disappointing as this wasn’t made clear when booking and it’s a con.

Ben was a great guide and made sure we hit the main sites as promised. The tour was well paced- some walking, some steps but nothing over the top. Dim sum was a great way to end the day. The tour does not return to the starting point but Ben was able to assist with advice regarding transport home.

This tour had good options. However, our specific tour guide was poor. She consistently sped in front of the group while turning corners. We kept having to search for her. Additionally, most guide hails a large flag or circle on a stick above their heads to easily find them. Our guide had this tin little finger thing which was hardly visible. I’ll attach the phots. On top of that, she didn’t allow us sufficient bathroom breaks.

An excellent trip with really good guide. Our guide, Anna, was both knowledgable and happy to share local history and facts. Dim Sum Lunch at Tim Ho Wan was first class.

This was a good trip overall and did cover a lot for the price paid. A few small areas could be improved to give it a perfect score of 5. The instructions regarding the meeting point wasn’t clear - it said outside McDonalds at a specific shopping centre - that’s fine except there are 2 entrances to McDonalds so my husband and I had to wait separately until we found the guide. The tour guide was good and gave lots of information. Despite having the ‘skip the queue’ tickets for the peak tram, we still had quite a wait. At the peak, the view is great and there area few shops to look at but time is limited before queuing again to go down. The boat trip was good - you didnt really need to pay to go upstairs as there was an outside area anyway. Dinner at the Dim Sum restaurant was fine - a mix of different dishes, plenty to eat and down to personal preference what you enjoy. Jasmine tea is served free but any other drinks need to be paid for. The final part that needs some better organisation is after the dinner ends. The guide just left and we had no instructions on how / where to get a taxi back to our hotel so it took us a while to get back to our hotel. All in all it’s a great tour and good value for money- a few tweaks would make it perfect.
