Nyboders Mindestuer
If you are going to get to the heart of hygge, you need to go back in time. We begin our Hygge & Happiness tour near the characteristic yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed local district. Here you’ll meet and greet your native guide and your group for the day. Your native guide is a bona fide Copenhagener who is super excited to share their knowledge of Danish culture with you, as well as local historical secrets that you won’t find in any guidebooks! And because our tours are for small groups only, your guide has plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.
Copenhagen
Your tour takes you through the oldest parts of the city, where you experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone-filled streets, timber-framed houses, and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl. Krusemyntegade is one of the cobblestone-filled streets that just scream hygge with that old world charm. It’s a great example of how hyggelig our city can be if you just take the time to wander.

Oscar (Oskar) was our guide and did a great job of navigating through the city and packing a lot of useful info into a full day. He was very patient answeing a diversity of questions and engaging with all of us. It brought a lot into perspective and the ability to interact more directly with him made this a much more satisfying experience than a bus tour. Actually would be a great compliment to a hop on hop off if you are up for the walk.

This was a fantastic walking tour… We covered EVERYTHING! All the downtown Copenhagen highlights were checked off and Oskar P. was a fabulous guide using his vast knowledge of the city’s history. We had delicious pastry as we began our tour and then a quick tasty lunch where the locals would eat. This is not for the weak… We clocked about 16,000 steps over mostly cobblestone streets, so be sure to dress comfortably! Definitely recommend it, a must-see for those wanting to see it “all” in Copenhagen.

Oskar gave us a wonderful and comprehensive tour of Old Copenhagen! His knowledge of its history and back stories combined with his humor made it especially memorable! We visited everything on our list to see . . . and many more fascinating places that we didn’t know about!

Oskar P was a fantastic guide! He took us on an excellent walk all around the city full of stories, history, and laughs. I learned a lot about Copenhagen and Denmark. One thing to note: the tour involves 4 hours of walking so wear very comfortable shoes and travel light.

We booked a walking tour of Copenhagen and it was excellent. Oskar P. was our guide, he spoke excellent English and was so knowledgeable and interesting. He kept us on the perfect pace and kept us engaged as we kept warm moving through the city. The route was perfect and he was full of great history and humours stories. He took us for a delicious lunch of smorrebrod and pastry. We feel we learned so much more about the city that we could have through books. We highly recommend and would love to come again

We had a fantastic time on our tour! Oskar P. was a superb guide, making our 5 hour walking tour around the city feel educational and fun. We took the tour on our first day in Copenhagen, and it’s really helped us get a feel for the city! We were incidentally the only ones who signed up for this particular day/time so we ended up having a private tour. We would highly recommend this tour (and especially Oskar P.) to any travelers looking to see the major highlights of Copenhagen!
