For your Copenhagen By Mie & Friends tour you will be in a small group of a maximum of 10 people.
This is a child-friendly tour. Children between the ages of six and 11 inclusively are permitted on this tour at the rate listed above. Please select ‘child’ above when booking. Children under the age of six are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child under the age of six.
Please note, we won't access the inside of any of the buildings located at the following places: The Kings Yellow Houses, Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg Palace, The Old Stock Exchange, Nikolaj Kunsthal, The Opera House, The Royal Theatre, The Marble Church or The Citadel. Instead we will experience all of them from the outside.

What To Expect
Nyboders Mindestuer
If you are going to get to the heart of hygge, you need to go back in time. We begin our Hygge & Happiness tour near the characteristic yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed local district. Here you’ll meet and greet your native guide and your group for the day. Your native guide is a bona fide Copenhagener who is super excited to share their knowledge of Danish culture with you, as well as local historical secrets that you won’t find in any guidebooks! And because our tours are for small groups only, your guide has plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.

Your tour takes you through the oldest parts of the city, where you experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone-filled streets, timber-framed houses, and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl. Krusemyntegade is one of the cobblestone-filled streets that just scream hygge with that old world charm. It’s a great example of how hyggelig our city can be if you just take the time to wander.

5.00Peter was our guide for myself and the other solo member of the party. We covered a lot of ground encompassing the highlights of Copenhagen, with Peter pointing out suggestions, places to go see/visit. He provided a stack of information ranging from what you'd read in tourist guides to stuff you'd most likely never know about such as the turning the dog figurines when you were 'happy' or not on the windowsill.. Also had a great lunch during the well paced walk. If you are new to Copenhagen highly recommend!

5.00I had a wonderful experience on the Copenhagen Highlights & Hygge Guide Walking tour today. My guide, Oskar Silz was fantastic - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and engaging throughout the tour. He shared so many interesting stories and insights about Copenhagens history, culture and daily life. The walking tour was well planned and gave a great overview of the city highlights plus a couple extra sights that a tourist exploring on their own could potentially miss. Oskars passion for Copenhagen really shows and made it more memorable. I would highly recommend both Oskar Silz and the Copenhagen Highlights & Hygge Guide Walking Tour to anyone visiting the city.

2.00We booked the Highlights & Hygge Private Tour expecting a thoughtfully curated experience centered around the Danish concept of hygge — atmosphere, coziness, design details, little rituals, meaningful stops. Unfortunately, the hygge component never really materialized. The tour felt more like a casual walk-and-chat through the city. Our guide was friendly and pleasant, but there wasn’t much structure, storytelling depth, or intentional creation of cozy moments. We kept waiting for something that felt distinctly Danish and atmospheric — a tucked-away candlelit café, a design conversation, a sensory element — but it remained fairly surface-level. The lunch was genuinely good and the strongest part of the experience. That felt well chosen and enjoyable. Beyond that, though, it didn’t feel significantly different from something we could have pieced together ourselves. Overall, it was perfectly fine — just not the immersive hygge-focused experience the name of the tour suggests.

4.00It is very nice experience very red laid-back. Morning day was amazing. And the afternoon lunch was just the right size. Oskar did a great job. We only had three people in our party, which was really nice but Oskar says they only go up to 10 so in the busy season that would be ideal. Well done Viator and the tour group.

5.00Windy and worth it! What a wonderful time with Peter as he walked us through all the sights and sounds of Copenhagen. He was an encyclopedia of Danish knowledge and answered every question I had. He was patient and I never felt rushed. Highly recommend this tour and request Peter if you do.
