The schedule of 18.00 allows you to see the great change between day and night in the jungle.
The 20:15 can be tired for children and due to the end time it can be difficult to get Uber or Taxi at 22:15, when it ends, we recommend coordinating the pickup in advance.
What To Expect
Explore the hidden life of the forest after sunset in ANURA, just minutes from La Fortuna. On this approximately 2-hour night tour, you will walk on safe and well-maintained trails as your guides help you discover how the jungle changes at nightfall. With flashlights in hand, you can observe red-eyed frogs, bright insects, night birds, reptiles and hopefully alligators in wet areas. The trail is accessible and surrounded by restored vegetation, with spots where the guide stops the group to hear and observe sounds and patterns that only emerge after twilight. It was just my fiancé and I so our tour guide, Shayla, let us start early because she wanted to make sure we saw the sloth that was out!! She even made sure we got a perfect picture of it. The rain didn’t stop us- if anything it brought more out. She was so knowledgeable on every single animal and plant we saw. She even knew where some of the animals routinely came back to sleep. I think it was the perfect length- a decent sized loop that passed several lagoons and even some cascades! We were so excited to have seen what we did and we got some awesome pictures!

5.00Baby girl of 6 years old loved it. Glad it wasn’t canceled even though it was raining. The rain added to the experience. We saw snake, frogs, lizards, alligator, birds. Definitely recommend it. Our guide was great.

5.00Incredible tour! Alberto is so knowledgeable and passionate about his work. We saw so many amazing animals and learned so much about each one. He was great with our 7 and 10 year old kids. We did so many amazing things in Costa Rica but this was at the top of our experiences. We would recommend this night hike to anyone, all ages.
