  We had a great time at Mt. Etna and the wineries. Vito was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. The winery provided a delicious lunch (more food than we were expecting!) and wines. Would definitely recommend!

• Wine Tasting and hiking around Mount Etna

  We had a great time but this is much more than a leisurely visit to a vineyard. We hiked down some underground volcano lave tubes and hiked up to some craters which were strenuous activities. Our guides provided us with shoes, jackets, helmets walking sticks and lights but we were never forewarned and properly prepared for this part of the tour which took about 3 hours. Also, we thought it was going to be a private tour - we ended up being in a group of 10 people who were lovely to be with but still. Our guides were great although they might have been more solicitous to the different physical acumen of members of the group. We would only recommend this to friends who were in good physical shape and didn't mind hiking down barely lit icy caves.

  Andrea was the best guide for this activity. He was so nice and very informative throughout the tour. We went during the first week of December and the weather was amazing.

  Alex was the absolute best. He was passionate and so incredibly knowledgeable about volcanos. He was also very sensitive to the fact that my father was older and couldn’t do all the activities so he made accommodations for him. It was also so great to relax at a winery with a delicious lunch after hiking. It was an incredible experience overall.
