What To Expect
Taormina
We will pick you up at your accommodation between Taormina and nearby towns.
Piano Provenzana
A stop of about 1 hour to admire the last side flow of the volcano. Possibility of shopping in the various stores that are near the ski resort.

5.00Bravo Luca! So our tour took place in January after, and during, a snowfall. I was nervous about the roads but Luca navigated the snowy conditions perfectly and safely. The van is equipped with snow tires and he is very experienced driving in these conditions. Luca helped us see a breathtaking Etna by taking the time to describe all the flora and fauna (caterpillar nests, rabbit and fox tracks in the snow, etc) as we hiked to the rim of the northern vent. The experience was beautiful with all the snow. Luca is so personable, professional and passionate about what he does that you cannot help but enjoy being in his company. He showed us lava tunnels and more. He knows the area exceptionally well and even when the paths were covered in snow, he knew the way. Also, he had some better shoes for us to use on the hike and some hiking poles which was so helpful! But bring your own toboggans and gloves. You will want them. The winery lunch was also exceptional. Since we visited during the off-season, we were taken to an alternative winery - Emilio Sciacca - which was fantastic! Both the food and the wines we tasted were exceptional. This Etna excursion was definitely a highlight of our Sicily trip. Take the tour. Do not try to visit Etna in the winter on your own.
We had the best time on our tour with Andrea. We were lucky to see and hear Mt Etna erupting. He explained it all!

5.00Very good luck and well arranged. Our guide was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. We got good views of Etna and it was a simple hike to get to different viewpoints. The guide informed us about good and interesting information about the environment and the place. The wine tasting was very good and generous glasses for the tasting. The location of the vineyard is in a nice place with nice views. Can highly recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing Etna, take good pictures, learn a little about Etna and the environment and then of course drink good wine.

5.00Our guide was the best! Super helpful, attentive, and friendly, with a real passion for Mount Etna. They shared lots of local history and cultural insights that made every step interesting. Even the volcanic science was explained in such a clear, easy way that by the end we felt less like tourists and more like junior volcanologists. Educational, fun, and inspiring from start to finish. Highly recommend!

5.00We had such a great day! Our tour guide Luca was awesome, very engaged, taking good care of us at all times. The hike on Etna is breathtaking, the paths and views are amazing, nature is so beautiful up there, such precious memories! The wine tasting and lunch were so good, rich & tasty, amazing winery premises with breathtaking views, perfect to close this amazing day! We're so happy we had this tour, totally recommended!

5.00Our tour of Etna was a wonderful experience. Alex’s knowledge and passion for volcanoes was evident. He gave a detailed history of eruptions on Etna and other volcanoes around the world. Alex provided detailed guidance on how to safely climb and descend the paths to view the craters. After our hike on Etna, we enjoyed an awesome wine tasting complete with a charcuterie board and a delicious lunch at Gambino winery. We tasted 6 different wines with the tasting pours being very generous. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a beautiful day hiking Mt. Aetna with Andrea, our guide. He was so informative and also fun! The wine tasting was wonderful at Gambina Winery. I thought the price was reasonable for an 8 hour day!
