Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests.
Our pickup time is 9:30 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

What To Expect
Astoria Column
At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.
Flavel House Museum
Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.

5.00Great tour. Tour guide Katie was great. She catered the tour to what we wanted to see. Would highly recommend Onward Adventures if you want to see Astoria and what it has to offer. I would definitely do another tour with them.

5.00Wow—what an incredible experience with tour guide Katie! My tour of Astoria was everything I hoped for and more. Climbing the 164 spiral steps in the Astoria Column and looking out over the Columbia River was so exciting and unforgettable! Katie made the trip even better—so friendly and full of fascinating stories about Astoria’s maritime past and its Hollywood connections. You can tell she truly loves her job. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already planning my next visit. My favorite moment? Spotting the house from The Goonies! I grew up loving that movie, so seeing it in person was such a nostalgic thrill. It felt like a little piece of movie magic tucked into this charming coastal town. I highly recommend this tour with Katie. Right when I got in her vehicle, she asked me what I wanted to see most—and we hit the Goonies house first! I never felt rushed, and I definitely got my money’s worth.

5.00Katie was terrific, in Astoria, in the dead of winter, on a cold, windy, rainy day in the PNW Katie made this adventure fun, informative, and we saw so much, experienced more than I would have expected, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in her care. There really is so much to see here, (history, touristy locales, shopping, food..) and we are already planning another trip (in warmer weather).

5.00Katie was absolutely amazing! She showed me everything she could possibly show me. I love that she knew town history and how to find good food spots. She was very enthusiastic and had the best personality. I will definitely go back and visit Astoria.

5.00Well where can I start I did the full tour of astoria with our guide bill from onward adventures as I was a solo traveller and a big goonies fan bill catered for everything for me the mass knowledge of everywhere we went which was all over I didn't think we could of fitted everything in but with bills expertise we did I enjoy every single second of that day and didn't want it to end it's got be one of the best tours I've ever been on I highly recommend any of these tours with these guys I will be going back in the future to astoria and million percent I will be doing another tour no question!! Ive added a photo of me and bill underneath our tour guide p.s I'm the one with the white beard 🤣

5.00Covered a lot of ground- saw from the sea to the town! We had a little more time because it was just two of us on the tour. Katie was very knowledgeable about the area, was flexible to our interests, and had lots of little meaningful "additions" that were an excellent touch. I highly recommend this company!

5.00Our cruise stopped in Astoria and we booked this tour for its local operators. Easy to walk to the meeting point we hopped on our tour mini van with Kate and headed to the beach for amazing views and photo opportunities, we got to gather a bit of the shimmering sand in tiny corked bottles provided by Kate, such a fun memento. Moving onto other points like Fort Stevens, The Astoria Column where you could walk up to the top and fly a provided paper airplane off the side. We ended up at the Goonies house while others went to see the seals or downtown shops. The snack break of jalapeño salmon dip was a refreshing touch. As a parting gift we all received a sand dollar to take home. Thanks Onward Excursions for the memories

3.00We had an unusual experience because we had a brand new guide. She was very nice but had no knowledge of the area and was unable to answer most questions. Everyone was very nice and tried their best to accommodate but missed rhe mark. We were split into groups and I think the other group had a better more experienced guide..
