  • Worst tour company I have ever used.

The tour around the island was about $150US per person which is way too expensive for a 4-hour drive, no lunch included. We stopped at Mama Africa restaurant in Hacienda Marcos, a huge empty resort property, and the food was inedible. The tour guide is friendly and speaks several languages however not very informative and needs to be prompted with questions. Since there aren't other tour operators (others weren't available or didn't respond) we took another tour to the Pico Basile, which included another drive around the island which was mostly a repeat of the island tour. The communication was awful. They weren't clear about the price (charged 60US for park permit which wasn't part of the price quoted, they weren't clear if the price was in USD or Francs, wouldn't respond to our inquiries, weren't clear about itinerary). The company should watch some youtube videos and educate themselves on what a good tour is like.

The best way to get an Impression of the whole island in one day. Thanks a lot to my tour guide Keyla, who was very attentive and spoke good English.

I believe from the review the we read that Hector is a good guy, but unfortunately he was overseas when we took the tour. I and my friend paid 150 EUR each (total 300 EUR) for this tour. We expect that the tour runs according to the itinerary in its official website, and I already told him & his team that we will be arriving in Malabo Airport at 10am, would like to be picked up right from the airport so that we don't lose any time to see the beauty of Bioko Island. But then when we arrived at the airport, some signs of the problem already appeared. We didn't see anyone in the arrival hall. Normally, they will wait at the arrival part of the airport with our names on a paper to identify us. But then we saw nobody, we went out, walking to the international terminal and back but it was just nobody there! We were waiting at the airport for almost 2 hours and we decided to take a taxi to our hotel... I texted Hector and Eli (his team) and finally at almost 12, Hector replied my text and the guy who was supposed to pick me up and do the tour started to text me as well. He claimed that he already texted me (but I did not receive anything). So he finally came to the hotel... and the tour that was supposed to be started at 10am and instead it started at almost 12 noon. We returned to the hotel at 5pm and then we realized that we didn't really follow the itinerary. For us, it was just a stop in a bridge (forgot the name), brief stop in Riaba, brief stop Moka's nature research & conservation center, brief stop in Batete for the wooden church, and brief stop in White Sand Beach. The following stops were complete omitted: Rebola, the church & the stadium; Bososo; the village craftsman in Moka, and Luba City. The guide added a stop in Batete though...

There are spectacular views... I think it was what I liked the most about the ride. Apart from being by the sea which also brings a lot of comfort

The tour was an excellent escape to view the amazing coastline and natural scenery of Sipopo. The fact that it was done as part of a cycling exercise made it more fun. The organisers did a great job in putting this event together. I would definitely try this again and again.
