• Last-minute cancellation with misleading explanation and no follow-up

  We booked a Senja island tour scheduled for April 6, but it was cancelled at around 10:00 PM the night before. The reason provided was that the ferry from Tromsø to Senja was not operating due to Easter. However, after checking the official ferry schedule ourselves, we found that the ferry was actually running as planned that day. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the information we were given. Additionally, given that this was during the Easter period, it is difficult to believe that such a cancellation would only have been known as late as 10:00 PM the night before. The timing of the cancellation made the situation very bad. As it was so late, we had no chance to rebook another tour for the next day, as most alternatives were already fully booked. This left us with an entire day of our trip wasted. What was even more disappointing was the lack of communication afterwards. We did not receive any proper explanation or follow-up from the company, and we need to contact get your guide company to get the refund, which felt both unprofessional and disrespectful. I can understand that cancellations can sometimes be unavoidable, but providing misleading reasons and failing to communicate with customers is not acceptable. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious when booking with this company.

  

  

• Excellent Trip with an Outstanding Guide

  Excellent tour; really gives an insight into the landscape and history of Tromso and the surrounding area. Our guide, Philip was outstanding. I have never been on any excursion where the guide made such a difference. His knowledge, friendliness and understanding of the environment meant that we all got as much as possible from the trip. Philip tracked the weather and adapted our schedule accordingly so that we always had the best possible change of seeing everything. He knew of different options everywhere and always seemed to have a plan B in case the weather or other tourists caught us out As well as the stunning fjords and mountains we also got to see white tailed eagles, seals and the site of the sinking of the Tirpitz - so something for everyone. All rounded off with hot soup, hot chocolate and cookies on the beach. Superb!

  The tour confirmed the night before that the tour was going. The next morning they cancelled with no reason. Piss poor from them

  We had a wonderful time exploring the nature around Tromsø. Our guide, Monsour, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We had a small group, and the experience felt very personal.

  This was my daughter's and my favorite tour in Tromso. Mateo, our guide was very knowledgeable and a good driver. There was only 4 of us on the tour so felt like a private tour. Lots of stops so didn't get cramped in the van plus Mateo provided hot chocolate and cookies for a snack and hot tomato soup and bread for lunch.   Booked this tour last minute after Get Your Guide provider cancelled a very similar tour last minute due to “bad weather and unsafe conditions” Our tour provider Fram Tours and our guide Phillip were outstanding. Ended up being a private tour as we were the only two signed up but the group tour went as scheduled. The sightseeing was outstanding and we made numerous photo stops both scheduled and spontaneous. Tour included a beach picnic lunch with great views. I never expected white sand beaches in Norway.

  This was a perfect way to see a number of fjords and the stunning island of Sommarøy. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and patient - and the lunch and snacks were delicious ! Highly recommend for those who want to get out and about without having to rent a car. Well worth the money and was so beautiful to see in the snow.

  A truly memorable day exploring the fjords and Sommarøy. The area is stunningly beautiful, and with fresh snow falling on the day, it looked even more magical, like something out of a fairy tale. Our guide, Philip, was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable and made the day really unforgettable. An experience not to be missed when in Tromsø!

• Buyer beware of rudeness from staff

  Whatever you do don’t get sick at the last minute and make sure you DO NOT message them through Viator because they will not receive the message and then send you a rude response back via text. Their booking confirmation does not have a phone number included - go to their main page on Viator and use their phone number. I made the mistake of attempting to message them through Viator the night before to tell them we would not likely make it because my daughter was sick. Was met the next morning with a very rude text telling me how surprised they were I could not find the phone number and making clear I would not be getting my money back. Yes, I read the cancellation policy - only wanted to see if I could get any back under the circumstances. It was made clear unless my daughter was in the hospital there was no way. Totally fine, but I do not believe the rudeness was required. I am sure it was a lovely tour and wish we had been able to go!
