What To Expect
Galatina
Galatina is a real gem of art, history and traditions. The wonderful Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria is second only to the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi for the presence of many frescoes inside, which were created by Giotto's disciples. Other monuments to visit are the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, and the ancient "courtyard houses" and the buildings situated in the historic centre.
Otranto
Otranto, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Salento.The town of Otranto is full of history, and every corner highlights the passage of different civilizations, including the Romans, the Byzantines, the Ottomans and the Aragoneses. You will have free time to visit the splendid Cathedral, the Church of Saint Peter in perfect Byzantium style, the Castle, the Towers, the mighty Pelasgi Bastions and the Walls that surrounded the whole of the ancient city.

5.00Excellent tour of four towns in Salento. In Galatina we saw the magnificent church of St Catherine of Alexandria and had the traditional pastichiotti; in Otranto we saw the beautiful mosaic floor inside the Cathedral; also don’t miss the small Byzantine church of St Peter from the 10th century with beautiful frescoes. In Leuca where the Adriatic and the Ionio meet we had a fantastic lunch at Lido Restaurant - and in Gallipoli a nice aperitivo! Our guide, Stefano was amazing! Very informative, professional, and kind. All in all I highly recommend this tour.

5.00Our tour guide Stefano picked us up at 9am in his 8 seater air conditioned van. He is very passionate about his job and has a great knowledge of the area of Salento. We had 4 stops with a sound explanation of each place having ample time to explore each stop. The drive along the Adriatic Coast was breathtaking. We drove all the way to Santa Maria Di Leuca ( the tip of the heel of Italy)A great day out and highly recommended.

5.00This was an enjoyable day out and Stafano was very informative it’s a small group tour of 8 people which we thought was great and being picked up and dropped off at you hotel was an added bonus the bus was also very comfortable.
