Our tour of Wicklow includes beautiful scenery, historic buildings, gardens, lakes - or whatever you want, led by a local guide. We visit little villages, mountain areas, stately homes and maybe my family farm up in the Wicklow Mountains! We can visit Powerscourt Gardens (admission charge here) or Russborough House (admission charge here), drive through Wicklow Mountains National Park, and explore the valley of Glendalough. Here we will visit the ruins of the monastic city, founded by St Kevin and look at some of the seven churches and the famous round tower. If you like walking we can walk around both lakes and enjoy the dramatic scenery and lovely forest. We will also make time for a nice lunch in one of the lovely pubs or restaurants in Wicklow. Or a pint on the way home....! I can customise your day - just message me when you book me and we will make a good plan!

Wicklow Mountains National Park
We will drive through Wicklow Mountains National Park, close to where I grew up. Expect heather covered mountains, deep dark lakes, fed by mountain streams, and wonderful views. This area has been the backdrop for many movies - PS I love you, Vikings, Valhalla and many more.

Dairine is an excellent tour guide. My son and I enjoyed learning more about the areas history as well as enjoying a wonderful hike with scenic views. We also enjoyed learning more about the Powerscourt gardens. Dairine is a wealth of knowledge and a delightful person. We will definitely book another tour with Dairine on our next trip to Ireland.

We so enjoyed the tour with Dairine. She adjusted the tour schedule to accommodate the weather. She shared interesting facts all along the way. Dairine is very knowledgeable of Wicklow, its history and the local plants and animals. Our tour felt like we were spending the day with a friend, not just a guide.

We had an amazing tour of County Wicklow with Dairine as our guide. My husband was looking to trace his roots and Dairine tailored our day-long tour to provide history and stops & hikes of significant places pertinent to his family. She was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to convey to us the feel of his native land and ancestry. It was an extraordinary experience.

We were looking for someone to take us around to check out family roots. We knew a bit, but not much, she did her homework beforehand and guided us to obscure churches and graveyards related to our search. She expertly drove on twisty turny back roads without a flinch. She took us the scenic routes when she could and my goodness, they were scenic!! She took us to counties and towns where the Leesons lived almost 200 years ago. It was a revelation! We even went to a 12th century Abby she'd never even been to, so she was really into it. To top it off we went to Huntington Castle which was a nice surprise and totally gorgeous. She made potty stops and coffee/ tea/ cake stops. And topped it all off with a beer at the dearest little pub. Oh! and she picked us up and dropped us off in a lovely luxury car. It was a perfect day. Don't hesitate to let Dairine make your special day REALLY special.

We spent two wonderful days with Dairine touring Dublin and Wicklow. She picked us up right where we were staying and took us on a lovely tour through Wicklow. The weather was tricky that day but Dairine was flexible and able to make our day magical even with some rain and wind. We toured the amazing Powerscourt Estate which was such a delight. Dairine is a wealth of information and a fantastic guide.

Dairine was awesome, she picked us up at the Cruise port on time in her very comfortable Mercedes. We had a nice drive to Powerscourt and she personally guided us through the amazing garden. We visited many other beautiful places in County Wicklow, lakes, mountains and historic places and had a delicious lunch at a very nice restaurant. She even arranged for us to visit a sheep farm and witness the gentleman and his sheep dogs work his sheep. Dairine’s personal knowledge of the area and the people made our day special. As a lifelong resident of the area, you feel her passion for County Wicklow.and the mountains. She also has a very good understanding of Dublin. We would definitely select her again and recommend to friends traveling to Dublin

My wife and I just enjoyed a wonderful tour of the Wicklow Valley area with Dairine. it turns out she grew up there and still lives there, so she is very well acquainted with all its features. She took us on a lovely 4+ mile walk through and around the valley, including some modestly steep climbs and descents which, although we're both around 70 years old, we found quite doable. We also had a fine tour of Powerscourt gardens, which is impressive. Dairine was a wealth of information throughout our trip and was an engaging conversationalist. All in all, I would strongly suggest this outing to others. It makes a nice getaway from Central Dublin.

Magical, breathtaking, healthy, fun, and educational. My 15-year-old daughter and I had the most wonderful day with Dairine exploring Wicklow. I am so glad we chose to do this.
