Christian, our guide, showed us the process and the CAVA in a friendly, though highly professional manner. during which we learnt a LOT, and ended with a delicious lunch in the elegant Cava

It is a great place to visit. It is small group visit that allow multiple questions. The guide is really knowledgeable. The wine degustation and the dinner are in a stunning room.

Very nice surroundings and scenery. Christian an excellent host, who explained the process of the vineyard in a very entertaining and entertaining way. The lunch quite plentiful, I thought we would be hungry, but with the charcuterie was phenomenal. There are two meat and pasta options. I recommend the first one. Important fact: if you need transportation, book it directly with the vineyard. They handle far more competitive fare than doing it on their own.

Fantastic experience! We were treated impeccably by Cristian, who explained everything with clarity and sympathy. The wines are simply wonderful, and the lunch, besides delicious, was very well served. I recommend closed eyes!

Eight of us, from cruise ship Volendam, took the tour and lunch at Castillo Viejo. They arranged transport to and from(extra charge) the port which we really appreciated so we were able to travel together. We toured the vineyard and processing of the wine at the humble, small family-owned winery. We sampled their special, and delicious, Pinot Noir Rose, as we walked the winery grounds and observed the very authentic wine production as it has been done for a hundred years! Alvaro walked us thru, in English, the entire process. Then we went into the Cava for tasting of their Tannat wines and a spectacular lunch, with a large succulent beef steak as the centerpoint. We tasted 5 wines during the 3 course meal, and Alvaro explained each of them so we could appreciate how the wine was complemented by the various foods. A wonderfully rustic experience and especially different from the tastings at the large commercial wineries. You really must eat lunch with the wine to truly appreciate the complex tastes of the Uruguayan Tannat red wines. Super personable experience at a very very reasonable price! Well worth the trip out to the countryside!

This is an intimate view at a small family owned winery. It is not one of those big production wineries. The grounds, service, wine were all spectacular. Relaxing, beautiful day, the lunch was average, but wine was amazing. One of my favorite wineries.

The genuine feeling is awesome from the host. She was so polite and fun and very kind! I can’t think of anything bad when it comes to this experience. My boyfriend enjoyed it and so did I. Oh the chocolate lava cake and ice cream made the experience even better!!! Wish it was bigger lol. I recommend this place.
