Great experience and flexibility with tour. Car a bit small for 4 ppl plus tour guide/driver. Gail was terrific

This was a great tour. Gail takes you through the details of the area and explains everything. She visits areas the buses cannot go and makes stops on your time (not a bus tour time and not loading and unloading all day). She answers any questions you may have and if you express an interest she makes sure that you see it and/or understand it (example St Magnus Cathedral). Excellent explanation of the sites, towns and history. One final note, the time (approximately fours hours) is perfect, as it does not leave you exhausted.

Gail was absolutely wonderful! We gave her some general ideas of some things we were hoping to see that were not typical tourist areas (wildlife and scenery). Gail planed out the day and took us to places where tourists typically don't go. We were able to see some wonderful places off the beaten path. Even though the wildlife didn't cooperate by being in the anticipated areas, the scenery and her knowledge of the area and history was extensive. She really went out of her way to give us the experience that we wanted. If you are going to the Orkney Islands, Gail the guide you want!

Excellent! Gail gave us a lot of local as well as historical information and stories. She was accommodating - took us to the Italian chapel when we mentioned it. We really saw a lot, didn't feel rushed and felt like we got our money's worth. Will definitely recommend her to friends!

Gail has worked out a very nice tour for us and has even taken into account some of our wishes. She told us a lot about the history and landscape of Orkney, which was very interesting. It was a very nice trip. If we come to Orkney again, we would book Gail again. Many thanks again to Gail for the beautiful tour!

Gail is a long time Orkney local who with deep knowledge of the island and a desire to show off its many qualities. She knows all of the back roads and showed us much more of the island than we had expected. And she gave us many ideas for the rest of our stay. We’re so glad she was our guide on our first day on Orkney.

Communication with Gail prior to our trip was very helphul. She met us at the time agreed and made clear that we could craft the tour as we liked. She was knowledgeable and friendly and very attuned to our interests. Those included added stops in Kirkwall at the magnificent medieval St Magnus Cathedral (and a great local lunch pick), the Italian Chapel and a special textile artist's studio. We enjoyed our day together and really feel like we got a good sense of Orkney. Gail knows her way around the island and smoothed a lot of corners off a special day, .Would definitely reccomend
