The Tower of London holds nearly 1,000 years of royal history, and this tour gets you closer to it than most visitors ever go. Timed entry takes you past the ticket queues, and an expert guide brings the fortress to life through stories of royal betrayal, political intrigue, and centuries of captivity.
The tour moves through the Tower's key landmarks: Traitors' Gate, where prisoners once arrived by boat; Tower Green, site of Tudor executions; the Jewel House, home to coronation crowns and the Cullinan diamonds; and the Bloody Tower, where two young princes disappeared in 1483.
The tour's signature moment is a private 15-minute audience with a real Yeoman Warder at the King's House, an area closed to the public. Ask questions, hear royal gossip, and snap a photo with one of London's most iconic guardians.
For a shorter visit, the Express option covers the guided tour and Crown Jewels access in 90 minutes, without the Beefeater meet and greet.

Our family of four including two older teenagers enjoyed this tour very much. Our guide Sean, was interesting and knowledgeable. We heard from the beefeater which was interesting but in hindsight I would not book this specific element again, as there seemed to be a free talk (to a much larger crowd) which sounded really entertaining. While it was interesting to hear about the beefeater’s role and life inside the tower I probably could have read most of what she told us elsewhere, and her delivery was very dry.

The guide was extremely informative and also funny. I've learned so much and we saw a lot. Nicely, after the tour was finished we could stay in the town of London to continue viewing the exhibits it was money very well spent and I would not have got all that I got out of this without the guide.

We booked an early morning, 8:30, tour of Tower of London with Beefeaters private tour. This was wonderful!! This is the second time I have been on this tour. The early morning is the best tour. If you wait until later, the crowds are very difficult. The tour group will give you a background about the tower and its history. Once you get into the Tower, the Beefeater will continue the tour. After you complete the Tower tour, there are lots of great food trucks outside the Tower.

Ben was a top-notch tour guide— he gave us the royal treatment ;) We learned so much, it exceeded my expectations. If you do one tour in London, this should be it. Amazing history and an absolute delight! Added bonus: History in the making to have our meet and greet with one of the first female Beefeaters ever.
