What To Expect

Prambanan

Our meeting point in the Prambanan Temple's parking area, then we will begin the activity by indroducing the traditional Javanese archery (Jemparingan), this is a unique tehnique of archery with sitting position. At that time it is used by sniper or guardian in the Kraton of Yogyakarta and we preserve as the one of culture now. There are some Javanese filosofies of this tehnique position, Mr. Agung will give more information and class professionally. Our triner is a professional archer. He was the one of National athleat from Yogyakarta.

Our accredited guide will meet you at the parking area of prambanan temple and will accumpany you up to Jemparingan Place, explaining and teaching how to to the traditional javanese archery properly.

A new and truly different experience. We learned about Javanese culture during the class which was very interesting. It was also nice to see our shooting improve by the end of the session, which made it all the more enjoyable.

What a COOL experience! The company was very accommodating and quick to respond over WhatsApp. We arrived 30 mins late bc of various road closures close to the address but Bagus and the teacher still accommodated us. My kid, 9 year old son, had a great time, as did I. The archery teacher is also an artist and so the bows are beautifully handcrafted by him and the teaching studio is lovely. Bagus was our guide and helped facilitate translation….then went out of his way to give us a lift to the temple afterwards when it was clear we would not make it to prambanan otherwise before closing. Thank you!

We had so much fun learning about Javanese archery. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. This was one of our fave things we did while touring. Would definitely recommend!
An absolute hit !!! Way more fun than visiting yet another static non-personal landmark.

The archery class was an absolute 'hit'! A fun and learningfull activity, accompagnied by oh so nice people in a great admosphere. I kept it as a surprise excursion for my family, mind you the children are way over 20, and they were still talking about it the next day! It is time well spent because not only will you have fun activity, you will also directly interact with very welcoming and friendly people. Just go and let it surprise you!

Me, my girlfriend and some friends did this activity today. We all enjoyed it very much. The trainers were friendly and helpful and we all increased in skill greatly by the end of the course

Why not doing something extra and more fun after Prambanan tour, let’s learn how to shoot arrow!!! Mr Alga is a friendly and professional tour guide. Always update with the client prior the activity start. He picked us up on time with his car and took us to the Pendhapa Jemparingan (the place where we learned about traditional archery) At the centre, we were taught by the master himself named Mr Agung starting from dress attire until learn how to shoot (and if you’re fast learner, you can hit bullseyes).

This was the most phenomenal archery class I have taken in my life. A chance for a warrior tradition near the very temples of Yogyakarta it participated in during ancient times to be brought to life in a modern era. To see the entire home and school integrated with teacher and family over a cup of traditional tea and to engage in the art of ancient Javanese archery was a total honor! Would love to learn more and totally recommend this experience whether you are an expert archer or just into the Hunger Games.
