Delicious, informative and entertaining! We tried so many different things, many of which I would have never even known or been able to order by myself. From congee to dumplings to bethel nuts to various sweets to healthy drinks - there were so many stops and so much to try, learn and eat - I get hungry just thinking about it. We visited tiny street stalls, old shops, restaurants and markets and learned so much about Taiwanese food and culture! Our guide was fantastic, passionate, friendly and well informed. I can not recommend this tour highly enough. Should I ever have the opportunity to do so, I will book one of the other tour by the same company.

Did the tour today and it was fantastic. Our guide Jean went above and beyond what you normally get on these tours. Highly recommend Taipei Eats !

Jean led our old town walking food tour. It was a great introduction to the city on our first day in Taipei. She did a great job of teaching us about the history and different influences on the city, while tasting A LOT of great food. You can tell she knows her city, the shop owners, and is passionate about sharing her city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We really enjoyed this tour! Jean ( sp?) was super informative and very attentive to the needs of our young kids ( ie needing to the use the restroom, having wipes and tissues on hand, and engaging with them). My senior parents , one who even grew up in the area long ago also enjoyed it as well! For young kids it is a lot of walking but my kids 8 and 4 year old managed to last to the end and more!

We had an amazing food tour exploring the traditional markets and streets to try food we’d never be able to locate and appreciate on our own. Tina was our guide and was a huge part of why we enjoyed it all so much. Informative, patient and helpful, she really made the trip our best experience of Taiwan. They don’t skimp on the food either, we lost count of how many we had and it was all delicious - thanks Tina!

When I book a food tour of course I want to sample the local dishes but just as much I want to know who the people are that made the food and why is it special to that community, all the foods of Taiwan have a rich history. Taiwan is a young country and learning about the history, the people and the food is fascinating and our wonderful guide Jean was eager to tell us everything. Tobin James

I recommend this tour! Small group, we had a wide variety of local foods that I would have never had exploring on my own. We also learned a lot about Taiwanese history and culture while on the tour.

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide and a small group of people. We tried things we'd not have been brave enough to try if on our own or been confident enough in Chinese to order; definitely enjoyed it all. And there was lots of it! The bitter tea was memorable...

My two daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Taipei Eats . Jean was a wonderful guide and we learnt so much , as well as eating the best Taipei has to offer . We visited places we would never have found , often having been run by the same families for generations . And ate so many examples of interesting food - often these tiny places specialise in only one or two dishes . A highlight of our trip to Taiwan , and one I would highly recommend .,
