What To Expect
Trail running in Faial is a funny way to get to know the island. The 10 volcanos trail is arguably the best medium distance trail running route in Faial. This trail is actually part of the Azores Trail Run race. Therefore, our proposal is an easy way to make tourism for those who carry their running shoes wherever they go. During the tour we will have the chance to learn about the island nature and culture while running. Our trail runner guide will also make sure to adjust the right pace so everyone feels comfortable by the end of the adventure. Depending on the weather, there will be some time to relax and maybe swim, where we finish.

5.00The organization of the trip (transfers, ferries, etc) was excellent. The guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The daily hikes/runs were beautiful and so diverse. Learned so much about the geology and fauna of the islands. The provided meals were the stuff of dreams and included great wines. The accommodations were very nice, and had AC! Can’t wait to go back next year

5.00Luis is a fantastic guide and we had an awesome run together. As a local and experienced trail runner he clearly knows how to impress his guests — great trail, fantastic views and he showed me some hidden gems along the way. Highly recommend him to anyone who loves trail running. We also booked him as a guide for our family hike. He picked a very easy-going trail for our young ones, but still interesting and beautiful so also the parents had a great time.

5.00Lis and Pedro were fantastic guides. We had an amazing week with guided hikes. Both are knowledgeable about the local biodiversity and volcanic history of Faial. I can’t imagine a better experience. We also did a day trip to Pico, wine tasting, whale watching and the best meals I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back next year. 100 percent will do this again. Huge thank you to Our Island!
