Buried next to Pompeii, this lesser-known Roman villa was the Opulent(Oplontis) vacation home of Emperor Nero's wife.
Between the more famous Pompeii and Herculaneum the smaller site of Oplontis suffered the same fate. This area was dotted with many suburban villas and residences, mostly used for holidays, but also farms and bath complexes. The archaeological site today comprises two Roman villas, the Villa of Poppaea and the Villa of Lucius Crassius Tertius.

What To Expect
Pick up from Naples train station. Proceed to Pompeii. Two hours to explore Pompeii. Upon request we can arrange two hour guided tour with a authorized licensed guide for an additional cost of € 150. Which needs to be paid directly to the guide in cash(euros). Afterwards, proceed to Positano, where the drop off will be.

5.00Giuseppe was on time and shared a wealth of knowledge about the Amalfi Coast. He was extremely safe and courteous; even stopping for a bathroom break and buying us cappuccino. The car was very clean and comfortable. Very grateful we got a driver and did not rent a car. The streets are extremely narrow and wind up and down the mountain with steep hills and crazy turns. If you don’t know the area, don’t rent a car!!!

5.00Paolo was a great guide. While it was a short ride from Pompeii to Naples, we learned a lot about culture and history about Naples and Italy. He was a very knowledgeable person and provided a great service. It was one of the best experiences during our trip in Italy.

5.00Paolo was great! We were we picked up in Naples and driven to Pompeii. He was kind and engaging and entertaining. He was also a great driver. We then drove to Amalfi - which Paolo did with ease which is no small task! My father-in-law left his phone in the vehicle and when we called Paolo to let him know, he kindly arranged for a co-worker who would be in the area the next day to meet us with the phone. He went above and beyond- highly recommend!

5.00Paolo was the best driver I’ve ever had. He reached out before our pickup time to confirm everything. Also when my father left his phone in the vehicle (even after Paolo asked for us to check and make sure nothing was left behind) he arranged for another driver in his company to bring it to us the next day. He went above and beyond! I will be requesting him again when we return to Naples!

5.00Paolo drove us safely from Naples to Amalfi. While on the way to Pompei, he taught us the history of Pompei and other volcanos in Italy, which made our Pompei tour much more interesting. He also was polite and precise. He has arrived at our hotel in Naples earlier than the appointed time.

5.00Paolo was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and most importantly extremely polite and helpful. We had a few issues that were our fault and Paolo stepped in and fixed everything for us. I give Paolo my highest recommendation.
