Alysia was very knowledgeable. She’s been in this park for 23 years so her base of experience was deep. At the start she asked how I’d like to explore the Park and the next several hours was perfect. By the end of the tour I felt like we’d become friends. She was easy to talk with and answered all my questions about not just the trees but about how the park was started, the fires, the changes she’s seen personally, etc.

Our 5 hr experience was truly unforgettable. We hiked through fresh snow in snowshoes and were guided through meditation among the big trees in a way that felt grounding and meaningful. Her experience as a park ranger really shows — she’s incredibly knowledgeable. She created such a safe, intentional space to connect with nature and ourselves. Highly recommend if you’re looking for more than just a hike — this was something special.

First off, we got lost (my fault) and were an hour late to the meetup spot. When we showed up at 10 she was still there, which was so above and beyond. This experience was so personal and special. Everything she shared with us felt sacred. She moved at a pace comfortable to us and asked for our input the whole way. Eating lunch together was a highlight for me because Alysia is truly such an incredible human being. I learned a lot about myself and the land from this experience. I would honestly do it again in a heartbeat. Anyone who signs up for this experience is blessed to have this time with someone who really cares about this place.

This experience was one of the most transformative experiences I've had in my life. Alysia was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging as our guide throughout the day. Being in the presence of these beautiful trees while being guided by someone who knows the park in and out really allowed me to be fully present and to be able bask in the greatness of nature.

If you want to learn about the Sequoia Forest, this is the tour for you. Alysia is a true naturalist and her love for the forest is quite engaging. We learned history, and how to identify certain trees. We learned how indigenous cultures worked with the land. We explored a tree in which our entire family of 4 adults could fit inside! Most of all, she inspired us to climb Moro Rock. Have you ever seen pictures of people standing triumphantly on top of a really high mountain or rock but thought "there is no way I'm doing that"? Well, Alysia lead the way and gently encouraged us to give it a try while letting us know we could change our minds at any time. WE DID IT! This was a great vacation for us!

The experience with her is amazing. She is well educated with the environment and knowledgeable ! Not to mention about how she meditated us during the tour so that my family and I are totally appropriate the nature entirely . I am highly recommended and will come back with my friends again.

This uniquely guided walk among the sequoia trees was delightfully more than I could have imagined. I appreciated the naturalist and historic bigger picture information, the significant small details pointed out and the enjoyable conversation!
