What To Expect
5. Our first stop is Kokarsteinen A place where travelers had to stop for some food or a rest or seeking shelter in the old days. Look for the stone construction. Restrooms available when open cafeteria, NOK 10 per guest.
10. ViewPoint by the sea On our way to ViewPoint by the sea, we pass the old Rose Church in Stordal. Built in year 1789. Another fantastic ViewPoint close to Liabygda. Down to the left, you can see a salmon fishfarm, to the right, we see the town Stranda where the Grandiosa pizza-factory is located. Across the fjord, we see the fjord going to Geiranger and Hellesylt. Up on the mountain to the left, you can see the mountain farm Skrednakken. This is the farm our Norwegian Queen Sonja visited some years ago. Don't forget to take some nice photos.

4.00Great trip. The road had just reopened and, of course, some more rocks fell and it was closed so we didn't get to drive down the bottom and have a look see. On the bright side, the visitor center is at the top. There are shops, food and restrooms. You can take off your shoes and wade around in the stream above the falls. Definitely take the trail out to far viewpoint for a great view of the valley below. I was told that driving down takes awhile and if rocks fall or a car has issues it slows way down and you may be stuck there for a long time. That would be worse for me. The stops along the way were fun and had some nice views but trollsteigen is the jewel.

5.00Truly incredible experience ! Went last May and got incredible weather, clear views of the valley. And the host was incredible !
If you want to get 100 minutes, you should get 120 minutes.

5.00One of the most organized tours we have ever taken. Love that they give you a book that shows you were you are going and also has which stops you can find a bathroom (WC-water closet) at. The stops all were breathtaking and I felt like the pace of the tour was timed just right. Our driver was Morton and he was courteous and a safe driver. We definitely recommend this tour.

5.00Trond was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Gave us plenty of time at the stops to see the amazing scenery. Small group van was very comfortable and clean. Picnic lunch was good. Our cruise ship changed times and tour adjusted to the new schedule with no problems. We got a little rain on the tour but they had umbrellas if you needed to borrow one. Picked us up at the dock and got us back with plenty of time to spare. Overall a great tour.

5.00A wonderful scenic trip from Ålesund to Trollstigen with stops at amazing waterfalls and the best photo opportunities. Our guide and driver Trond was a wealth of information on the area, and Norway in general and we learnt so much. The itinerary was clear and adhered to. We felt confident that we would make our "back on board" time for our cruise. A wonderful tour that I can highly recommend.
