Come with us for our Express Aurora Hunt and have a guaranteed early return to Tromsø city centre. Leave the city lights behind and travel into the Arctic wilderness. During this activity, our small team of Aurora guides check the forecasts and use local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights within an hour drive away from town. On this activity we will travel wherever looks safest and with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights within 1 hr of Tromsø city centre. Once we arrive to the best location available we will enjoy a warm drink and a sweet biscuit together while we wait. We'll have you back to the city centre by midnight, so you can be well rested the next morning.

Participants must be over 4 years old - we can accept younger children, however parents must bring car seat, thermal clothing and meal, and office must be informed
Not recommended for travellers unable to walk on uneven or icy terrain.

2.00Long drive, disappointing refreshments (herbal tea and an overcooked - but home made- biscuit) but the main disappointment was standing in a lay-by, next to an idling lorry ( with its lights on) by the side of a busy road to view the Northern Lights…I expected somewhere more quiet…I do appreciate that the lights appear and do their thing unpredictably, but it would have been nice to be more than 20 feet from the main road…

5.00Couldn't have asked for a better trip. He went above and beyond to find a tiny clearing amongst thick clouds. Also, he explained the Northern lights and how to find it. Must do excursion!

5.00Henrik and Vitek did a good job for our group. They were accommodating. Vitek drove for a bit trying to find a spot that was clear on a rainy/cloudy eve. Weather cannot be predicted so no fault of theirs we didnt have a clear night. We were able to get a brief look and the Northern Lights in a secluded and dark area. Henrik was friendly and approachable. I was hesitant to go on a 6+ hour tour. The thought of driving around for several hours without the possibility of spotting the lights didnt appeal as much to me, therefore the express tour was a great compromise. When it was all said and done, I was not unhappy with my choice to reserve the express tour.
