The tour starts at the meeting point. From there we will drive west, crossing the bridge that connects Tromsø to the island of Kvaløya.
During this trip we will cross 3 fjords. And we will drive across the valley of Kattdfjordeidet. There will be short stops to take photos and experiment nature. Sometimes we can see reindeer and other animals roaming free.
The destination is Sommarøy, “the Summer Island”. There we will enjoy a warm 2-couse lunch (soup + desert) inside the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel.
To return we will take the road on the south-east coast of Kvaløya. During this ride we can enjoy the views of the Sund and the mountains of Malangen.
The tour finishes at our original meeting point after approximately 5 hours.
In all our tours we accept wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. We also are prepared to guide people with visual or hearing impairments. And we always work on creating a comfortable experience for neurodivergent people as well.

If you are arriving on a Cruise ship we can arrange a pick up at Kai 21, the cruise quay. Please stay in the white tent. The guide will come to you wearing an orange jacket with the company logo.

5.00Martin provided a wonderful 5 and a half hour tour for my wife and me and 8 others (all from the same cruise ship) in a van to see the Tromso-area fjords. The tour included a light, excellent lunch at a beautiful spot on one of the smaller islands. Martin is a fabulous guide - warm, friendly, engaging, flexible, and knowledgeable, and with good command of English. He was eager to meet the group’s needs. He takes great photos (optional) which are available free-of-charge for “screen” quality, with an extra charge for higher quality resolution. We had a great day and recommend Martin very highly!

5.00Had a surreal experience: Journey,landscapes,fjord and culinary cuisine specific to the locale. Kudos to our tour guide Louai for being more than a travel guide but giving insights to the Norwegian lifestyle, Scandinavian geo dynamics. Would highly recommend him for any future Viator tours in the region. On a personal note Louai went out of his way to bring back our back pack which we happened to leave behind. Louai is indeed a true Norwegian ambassador to his clientele coming from all over the world. Thankyou for the wonderful memories we take break with us of this experience.

5.00This tour was a great way to see the fjords by road, in a small group - the minibus held 7 of us, which was much more “cosy” than some of the other tours. Martin went out of his way to make the tour not only informative, but also entertaining for all the ages in the tour. Seeing the fjords, wild reindeer and ancient drawings was satisfying, and the stop for lunch provided us with a simple but tasty break, served by happy, friendly staff. 2 of the tour had mobility issues, Martin’s attention to their wellbeing was notable, and as a result they enjoyed their experience greatly. Nice work, Martin, takk!

5.00We had a fabulous day on 11th Jan when we took a fjord tour to Sommaroy with guide, Bruno! Not only did Bruno go above and beyond to tell us facts about the country and regale us with the history of the Sami people, he also stopped along the route many times to show us some lesser-known wonders of the Norwegian Fjords! Bruno really made this tour special with his effervescent personality and genuine passion and enthusiasm for the country and its people - I would recommend any of his tours!
