Your evening begins at our Tromsø meeting points. Routes may go up to two hours one way, crossing fjords and valleys as we chase clear skies supported by our 24/7 Back Office Aurora Command Center and 150 plus staff across Northern Scandinavia. When skies open, step into remote Arctic scenery as guides capture professional DSLR photos of you under the Aurora.
Thermal overalls, hot drinks, and light snacks are included. With 4–6 hours total, this is Tromsø’s most complete Northern Lights hunt by bus.

From here, the hunt begins — routes may lead up to two hours from the city in search of clear skies, navigating fjords, mountain passes, and inland climate pockets. Your guides share Aurora science, Arctic nature, and local legends, supported by Arctic GM’s 24/7 Back Office Aurora Command Center and over 150 field team members across Northern Scandinavia. When conditions align, your journey pauses at hand-picked wilderness locations, far from city glow. Step out into quiet Arctic darkness as shimmering waves of green — sometimes purple — swirl across the night sky. Your guides capture professional DSLR photos of you under the lights, while you warm up with thermal overalls, hot drinks, and light snacks. 1.00We were excluded from the tour less than 2.5 hours before it started, without explanation and with no response to our messages — despite having been officially rescheduled. This last-minute mismanagement left us unable to book another tour and cost us our chance to see the Northern Lights after traveling all the way from Chile.

5.00Seeing the Northern Lights with Arctic GM was truly unforgettable and one of the absolute highlights of my trip. On my second tour, we were incredibly lucky to experience a rare and intense solar activity. During this 6-hour chase, we saw the aurora in multiple locations, and even on the way back David, our guide, kept watching the sky closely and made an additional stop when activity suddenly appeared again, which turned out to be one of the most special moments of the night. His passion really showed. He gave great tips for photographing the aurora, patiently helped everyone, and took many photos of us whenever we asked. Anna, our driver, was excellent as well and made the long journey feel safe and comfortable. Being dropped back at the hotel at the end was a big plus. My first tour with Arctic GM didn’t result in seeing the aurora due to heavy cloud cover, but the effort was still impressive. This was an 8-hour chase, and we drove almost to Finland trying to find clear skies. Samuel, our guide, was amazing, he kept everyone relaxed, happy, and engaged throughout the night, chatting with guests and maintaining a positive and calming atmosphere despite the conditions. Adel, our driver, was kind and professional. While nature can’t be controlled, the team truly did an unlimited chase as promised and they dropped all of us back at our hotels/chosen points. Arctic GM later refunded 75% of my booking, which I really appreciated and felt was very fair. My tip for future travelers: dress extremely warm, even more than you think you need; long hours outside make a big difference. Overall, I would 100% recommend Arctic GM to friends. They are professional, caring, and genuinely committed to giving guests the best possible Northern Lights experience.

5.00We did this tour twice and were thrilled. From the organization, from the quick answers of the office when you had questions, from the drivers and of course from the guides. The guides gave their all, they did everything to find the Northern Lights, were friendly and patient, no matter how long the tours took. The drivers made you feel safe. The office informed you in time about the exact departure time. This is how I imagine a competent organization! Thanks to all involved !!

5.00Unfortunately the weather was not favorable so we were able to see a bit of aurora only for a short moment; Bernardo and our driver however were super helpful and friendly and did really everything to make us happy, including hundreds of km to go hunting.

They took all obstacles on the way with high energy and great humor - and ensured that we ended up seeing more Northern light than we had hopes for - in the most beautiful settings. 5.00Many thanks to George, Nikola and driver Angel for seeking out some great locations to the south of Tromsø. Managed to get some great shots of the Aurora on what was im sure a challenging night for viewing. I’m sure those trips that went to a predetermined location would not fairer as well as our group.. Knowledgeable guides who knew to go made all the difference. Make sure to keep an eye on start time notifications as trip could start early depending on conditions as ours did. Recommended!
