Come and experience the beauty of killer whales and humpback whales in their feeding grounds.
We are Arctic Adventure Tours and your tour starts at the BUS TERMINAL at Tromsø Havn Prostneset. Look for and go to the big red bus from Best Arctic. Please be ready at the bus terminal at 05:20 AM.
After a scenic drive from Tromsø, your local skipper will greet you and provide you with thermal flotation suits and safety equipment in our dressing room.

From here there is a short walk down to the RIB boat and then the search for the whales begins. After the tour, you will receive light sandwich and drink to enjoy before the bus ride back to Tromsø.
Remember to bring snacks with you, as it will be a long day. If you have specific dietary requirements we recommend bringing your own food and snacks with you, so you are sure you have food for the day.

I had the most amazing day on the water. Siim our guide was informative and an all round great positive host. We witnessed the birth of a baby orca which was truely magical. The team was extremely respectful of the orcas and always aware of others in the fjords. All of the team that I met were super friendly. We got kitted up in super warm gear and had a blast. I totally recommend these guys. The admin personnel Christel was extremely helpful and answered quickly. This was an awesome day and a magical moment on the water. Thank you Arctic Adventures you are super :)

Patience and be grateful with what nature has to offer. After 1.5hrs of searching the area, our groups (just 2 boats) were blessed with 2 pods of Orcas! No words can describe the excitement of first seeing the Orcas close up with your own eyes.

Great experience! The communication was easy, questions answered very quickly and friendly. The tour itself was great: great bus drivers who managed to drive through strong snowfall safely, nice guides, everything organized well, proper safety measures, warm suites. One person got sea sick and the guide really helped her so she could still enjoy. The whales were respected and not chased down like crazy like other tour operators do. Don't support tour operators who stress the animals! Arctic adventure tours is therfore a good choice. The guide was well informed and explained a lot about whales. And the rest: luck. It is nature, whales are not guaranteed but that day we were blessed with hundreds of wales, mostly orca and humpbacks. It was a great experience! Also the landscapes are simply stunning! I did the tour on 21.12.2024, so the climax of polar night. Don't worry, there is plenty of light to see the giant beauties ;-)

Our RIB Whale Watching Experience was Awesome! We went on January 14th 2025. We got lucky on weather and had perfect conditions for this activity. As a side note, most of my 6 day trip was filled with cold rain - but not this day! We saw Orca and Humpbacks. The scenery was gorgeous! The thermal suites they gave us (along with my own warm layers) kept me from feeling cold. And the 2.5 hours out on the RIB boat just seemed to fly by! I could have stayed longer. What a wonderful day!

An incredible experience! The staff were super lovely and it was overall a bucket list moment ticked off for us. We did see hump back whales and orcas, although the orcas were being a little shy on the day. It’s a very long coach journey, so be wary of this and the bus was full so it did feel quite cramped and the journey is 3.5 hours long each way! The journey on the boat was very bumpy and choppy, you do get wet and cold so bear this in mind. Overall it was an incredible experience, well worth the coldness!! Thank you to the team for a fab day.

Was a great trip. Knew when we booked that the drive for 4hrs each way, but doesn’t make it any long! We were very lucky to see a pod of orcas in a feeding session. Was an amazing two hours.

We were extremly lucky to see so many whales. But our professional guide, his knowledge of the region and the whale behavior as well as the good (and very warm) gear and garments made it all possible. We recommend taking some snacks with you.

An amazing experience to be surrounded by dozens of orca and humpback whale. It is a rare and incredible experience. And with the warm suits, it is not as cold as how I imagined. Definitely recommend! 極度難得的體驗,我們剛好遇到大翅鯨跟虎鯨獵食,被數十隻大翅鯨/虎鯨包圍。很值得,非常推薦!

The trip was amazing. We saw lots of orcas and humpback whales and the boat ride was also not too wavy. We recommend bringing some snacks as it's in total a 8h bus ride and about a 2.5-3h boat ride.
