What To Expect

Truffle hunting on our property is a unique experience that must be tried if you are in our area! The day starts in the morning at 10:30 in spring (a little earlier in summer to avoid excessive heat) together with the “truffle hunter”, a professional who, together with his inseparable Lagotto from Romagna with an exceptional nose for truffles, will take you into the woods of the property in search of the precious and fragrant truffle. You will be in direct contact with nature for about 45 minutes, actively participating in the search for “black gold” and learning a lot about this ancient activity that has been taking place in Tuscany for hundreds of years. Then in the middle of the morning returning to the farm you will learn how to make fresh pasta (tagliatelle) that will be served to you for lunch. Lunch will be served on the beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards and our olive grove: you can relax and enjoy our homemade lunch, with tasting of our wines and our extra virgin olive oil.

Our favorite tour of our trip to Italy! The truffle hunting experience and pasta making were so fun. Definitely worth the drive or cab ride from Florence.

Exactly what we expected and more. The hosts, Nico taking us on an adventurous hike through the gorgeous forests in Tuscany with the truffle hunting licenced expert, Luca, with his beautful truffel hunting dog, Tabu. It had rained a few days before, which made smelling the truffel a bit harder than usual, but Tabu found quite a few and in particular one big one that we later had grated over our freshly made pasta. Nico explained the different truffels, seasons and rules of hunting. After the truffle hunting, Nico's lovely father guided us through making fresh tagliatelle from scratch. Meanwhile Nico and the family had prepared us a mouthwatering cheese board that we enjoyed with their home made truffle products and self-produced white and red wines. We ended off with our delicious tagliatelle with pepper sauce and more red wine. It is rare to have such a well organised and knowledgable immersive experience and would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience the raw Tuscan life.

Gian Marco, our expert truffle hunter, was an absolute delight. Alongside him was his adorable dog, Tabu, the star of the show! Even though it was the end of the bianchetto season, Tabu found many truffles for us. After a successful hunt, we were treated to a fantastic pasta making session with Camila. The best part? We got to enjoy the fruits of our labor - a delicious lunch featuring homemade focaccia, a charcuterie board, and the pasta we made with freshly shaved truffles. This tour is a must do for anyone visiting the area. The family's hospitality, truffle hunting, and hands-on pasta making experience made it a day to remember. Highly recommend!!

This experience was a dream come true, and was amazing from the moment we arrived! It took place at Cofferi 1242, which is a family run farm that produces many products including wine, olive oil, and truffle products. We were introduced to everyone and started on our truffle hunt with the adorable dog Taboo! The weather was perfect and we went on a great walk and found 9 truffles!! Then we came back and started with pasta making. While the dough was eating we had freshly baked focaccia on the patio with a glass of wine with a heavenly view! After we finished pasta making, we had the most delicious lunch featuring charcuterie and samples of their truffle products, the pasta we made topped with freshly shaved truffles from our hunt, and dessert-all homemade! We didn’t want the experience to end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you want to experience the MAGIC OF TUSCANY.

The entire experience was amazing! The hosts made us feel at home at their lovely Tuscan manor with breathtaking views. We were never rushed and Fabrizio took his time to accommodate every guest. Gon Marco and Tabu, our truffle hunting dog, were an incredible team, not stopping until we had more than enough truffles for our delicious lunch.
