Overview
A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay, across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on our vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm demonstration and a delicious BBQ Lunch served on the sunny terrace at the Colonel’s Homestead.
The rural demonstrator will give guests an insight into life in the New Zealand high country by providing an entertaining farm show including working sheep dogs.
Enjoy a unique dining experience at Walter Peak where the menu showcases food and wine from the wider Central Otago region. Chefs prepare a tasty selection of meats on the outdoor grill, while fresh, seasonal salads and vegetables are available from the dining area of the Colonel’s Homestead. Top off lunch with a selection of delicious sweet treats and local cheeses.
Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in.

5.0Absolutely claas! Nice relaxing trip across the lake with the lovely lady on piano. The lunch BBQ was 10/10 plenty to go around and top quality food. The farm show was good fun, sheep dogs are always the star of any show. Highly recommend.

5.0The fabulous boat ride on this beautiful and scenic lake is only the start. Calling it BBQ does not do the food justice. It was a delicious meal with many options and I would have been happy to eat here for any occasion. Just wonderful.

4.0Wonderful day on the lake followed by great lunch and entertaining farm/ sheep show. If want top level seats make sure get there early to check in and get in line. Note the top level can get a bit hot with the smoke stack, downstairs is definitely cooler. Tables could benefit a clean with some soapy water rather than disinfectant spray as gets tacky to the touch. Other than that great experience.
