  • Loved it. Was expensive.

The day was fantastic. We loved the boat trip, how the boat has an open view to the coal and learning all its history. The buffet and food were seriously amazing, we are planning on when to bring our mums back. It was quite expensive for what it was; that’s the only consideration and downturn otherwise we loved it.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The steamship was a wonderful experience to see the team at work fueling the engine with coal. the pianist Kate was excellent and added to the atmosphere. The ship itself was in great shape The lunch was excellent, the farm was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the sheep dog do her work. It was a little uncomfortable seeing the sheep being shorn but he was unhurt so all good...

Fantastic afternoon out. Cruise was an experience with the stokers shovelling coal. Drinks were reasonably priced. BBQ lunch was excellent. Lots of high quality food that you helped yourself to. Could have had starter, main, dessert and cheese if wished. Sheep rounding up and shearing was entertaining. Good value for money

  • I would do this again!

This is the real deal! Not just a modern vessel dressed up to look like an antique. This is the actual ship from 1912 with the original coal burning boilers and steam engine. Its a floating, working museum piece. Staff was friendly, snacks and drinks onboard were excellent. Scenery is fantastic. The farm experience was very well done as well. Food was excellent (amazing for a tourist oriented venue) and sheep sheering show was very interesting. I would do this again!
