The Tully River hosted the International Rafting Federation’s 2019 World Rafting Championships. This world class river provides a pinnacle rafting experience, with over 40 rapids ripping down through the stunning rainforest gorge surrounds. Classified as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully provides one hell of a wild ride which ticks all the boxes for those seeking the ultimate Australian rafting adventure!
We have two Tully River itineraries, check them out below, which are exactly the same except for departure times. The Tully River is a Hydro River and we’re informed on water release, which determines when we run.

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
Children aged 13-18 years require a parent or guardians counter signature on waiver form
Please bring lace-up shoes (that WILL get wet), swim suit and towel, a change of dry clothes, and waterproof sunscreen
Minimum age is 13 years
Not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant

Tully River
The Tully River carves it's way through the spectacular Tully Gorge, swirling waters surge over and around giant granite boulders surrounded by towering trees, climbing palms and thick rainforest which has dominated this landscape for a thousand years.

5.00This was my first white water rafting experience, and words will not do it justice! What an amazing experience with a fabulous crew of people. It was so much fun!! After the first safety briefing, I questioned whether I had made the right decision, and then after the second briefing, I was really unsure. I shouldn't have worried. The crew were next level at their jobs and clearly love what they do. They were magnificent. Making sure we had the best time, with heaps of banter and jokes all round. They sure know their job and do it SO well. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. The perfect mix of adrenalin and fun,

5.00I had a great day with my teenage boys white water rafting on the Tully River. The drive was longer than we expected, but once we were in the water, we forgot about that. We had so much fun, you honestly couldn’t wipe the smile off our faces the whole time. The instructors made us feel safe and were knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent day! Just remember to pack some snacks, plenty of water and insect repellant.

5.00Joined the full day Tully river rafting. The crew were very friendly and experienced. I have two teenage kids and the guide (Izzy) encouraged them to try stuff like swimming in the river, sitting right at the front of the raft. I had been to a few rafting trip and this is so far the best. My kids have the same thought too.
