The Tully River hosted the International Rafting Federation’s 2019 World Rafting Championships. This world class river provides a pinnacle rafting experience, with over 40 rapids ripping down through the stunning rainforest gorge surrounds. Classified as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully provides one hell of a wild ride which ticks all the boxes for those seeking the ultimate Australian rafting adventure!
We have two Tully River itineraries, check them out below, which are exactly the same except for departure times. The Tully River is a Hydro River and we’re informed on water release, which determines when we run.

Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
Children aged 13-18 years require a parent or guardians counter signature on waiver form
Please bring lace-up shoes (that WILL get wet), swim suit and towel, a change of dry clothes, and waterproof sunscreen

Tully River
The Tully River carves it's way through the spectacular Tully Gorge, swirling waters surge over and around giant granite boulders surrounded by towering trees, climbing palms and thick rainforest which has dominated this landscape for a thousand years.

5.00First time white water rafting and it was a blast. Max was an amazing instructor/host giving us a bit history of river and it's surrounding area. The rapids were awesome getting completely wet and almost going under. Getting to jump off very high rocks and floating down the river. Overall it was the best part of the trip. 10/10
You absolutely need to go whitewater rafting!

5.00This was our FAVORITE tour in Australia. The rapids were awesome, and we had a phenomenal time. When we weren't in the rapids, our guide shared a lot of information about the local plants and animals. Definitely buy the pictures at the end - you won't be disappointed by all the moments and expressions they capture.

5.00Our family had such a fun day with Raging thunder. The guides, drivers, and photographers all staff are professional and seem to enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend for everyone to purchase their photos, which were a complete bargain. The photographer went above and beyond for good angles and the photos look epic!
