• Swimming with turtles!

  I had an amazing experience swimming with turtles with Zohar as the guide in Ishigaki. Previously, I also booked a snorkeling tour with a group in Naha, but perhaps because the tour group in Naha was larger, I did not feel like I made the most of my experience there as there were moments that I felt the tour guides did not pay attention to whether or not I was having a good time. I only saw one small turtle at a distance in Naha. My tour with Zohar in Ishigaki was different. It felt more personalized as the tour consisted of a smaller group of people. I was a solo traveller and there was another couple on the tour. Zohar has a sharp and witty sense of humor. He really delivers as promised. During the tour, we not only saw one turtle, but if I counted correctly, we swam very closely to maybe at least five turtles in the two hour period that we were snorkeling. There was one special moment to me that I will never forget. We were waiting for a turtle to swim up to the surface, and I remember I had only momentarily, playfully, and telepathically asked the turtle to swim towards me. The strange thing is that it seemed to have worked, so much that if I had not moved my arms when the turtle was swimming towards our direction and was passing by me, I think the turtle would have brushed against my arm. Thanks to Zohar, the memory not only lives in my mind but I also have a photo of that encounter as well. It felt very ethereal to be able to swim so close to and alongside turtles like that.

  Our guide and owner of Turtle Snorkeling was very well prepared and knowledgeable. He took great care of us and especially with putting on the wetsuit. He took photos of the fish and turtles and all of as we didn't have underwear cameras. We recommend him for a nice outdoor adventure on Ishigaki.

  Zohar is extremely knowledgable, personable, and overall a fantastic tour guide. Having done the tour and observing others who pursued other guides, his attentive service and responsiveness to your needs really stands out. Additionally, highly recommend the full day tour, as it enables you to maximize your understanding of the island and it's culture/surroundings. It is highly evident that Zohar has put a lot of thoughtfulness and care into his system. For example, following the dive he has a hot portable water shower, cold water on tap, and most importantly a fantastic attitude. I recommend that your search for a guide ends here! :)

  Zohar was an amazing guide! We travel a lot as a group and the right guide can make or break a trip. Zohar was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and well organized. He took great photos and videos of us as well. The gear quality was also excellent. Often rental wetsuits and snorkeling gear are worn out. Everything was high quality and excellent condition. Would highly recommend any of the tours he offers.

  This was my third snorkeling tour in Ishigaki and it's definitely the best. We are a group of 4 people including a 10 year old. Zohar took good care of not only the child but all of us. He spoke perfect English. He was friendly, experienced, funny and detail minded. He explained everything clearly like what we're going to do, what we're expecting to see and where we should go so he could take a picture of us. We saw many sea turtles, small sharks, all sorts of fish, corals, etc. We all had the most enjoyable experience in Ishigaki.
