What To Expect
Meet your local guide before heading for the hills on a scenic drive through the Tuscan countryside. Your first stop for the day is gothic Siena, famous for its medieval streets. Choose to join a guided tour through the city(free entry inside the Cathedral is included). Or, alternatively, you're free to marvel the sights of Siena at your own pace, enjoy a drink in an open air cafe and meet the locals. Enjoy a stroll among Chianti vineyards, olive groves and wine cellars before indulging in a traditional Tuscan lunch amongst the Sienese hills where Chianti wine is produced. Surrounded by grapes vines you'll have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers while feasting on local foods including cold meats, salads, pasta and bread. A wine-tasting class will be held during lunch including free samples of wine and olive oil (which are also available for purchase). After lunch you will visit San Gimignano where you can roam the maze of cobbled streets and small squares, grab a gelato and walk between San Gimignano's famous 14 towers. Your final stop is Pisa, where you can take an up-close inspection of The Leaning Tower, view the Cathedral, the Baptistery and monumental Cemetery in Pisa before venturing back to Florence where your full-day tour concludes. Go to the front of the queue at the Leaning Tower of Pisa without having to wait in line and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb the world’s most titled tower. Leaning Tower of Pisa has 296 steps over 7 floors. The climb will take approximately 30 minutes. You will arrive in Pisa approx. 6pm and leave 6.50pm. Children aged 8 years and under are not permitted to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

4.00Despite the very cold and rainy day, we had a wonderful time. Our guide Mirela was entertaining and full of knowledge. The highlight of the trip was the lunch and wine tasting at a local farm just outside San Gimignano. Be warned however that when they say you will do a lot of walking, believe them! Many hills and stairs. We clocked over 22k steps by the end of our journey!
Great guide, but some changes are required for that tour.

3.00First of all, our guide Mano deserves a 5 star rating. There are some issues with the tour though. The tour tries to pack in too much to get a good visit at all the sites. The stop at Gimignano should be dropped alltogether to allow for more time at other sites. Gimignano is worth visiting if scheduled properly. The promo picture shows tourists walking around a vineyard, suggesting some description of the site by the owner or our guide, and there was no such thing. The meal was OK, so were the wines and oils. This stop at the vineyard felt more like a sales pitch for the winery. The stop over in Pisa left enough time to explore the leaning tower but not enough to visit the cathedral properly.

5.00The day was fabulous and worth every penny! Our bus driver did a great job keeping us safe and comfortable while our guide Alessandro kept us well informed and on pace throughout the day. He was kind and helpful, and gave great recommendations. The shops and views at Siena- wow! The lunch and views at San Gimignano- surreal! The Leaning tower of Pisa at sunset- unreal! The day is fast paced and, yes, you will be walking a lot, but you won’t be disappointed nor feel like it’s tedious. A must do!
