It was every bit as good as expected! Everything was well organized and on time. Our guide’s name was Mirella and she was fantastic - very professional, welcoming and made us all relax and feel at home.

This activity lets you see other parts of Tuscany. The lunch at the featured farm was nice and they served the wines that they made there. Make sure you have a full day and are rested as there is some walking to get to the actual bus as the buses can only park in designated areas according to the law and several hours riding in the bus to get from place to place. Overall the experience was nice especially if you only have a day to see more of Tuscany

We had a wonderful day with Victoria with Walk About tours. She was informative, engaging, and more than happy to answer questions about the locations we visited.

First and foremost, our guide Manolo and driver Giuseppe, were absolutely wonderful. Informative, entertaining, and safe with driving. Now to the nitty gritty. We took a bus from our lodging to the central train station as instructed. Then, because buses are not permitted to load anywhere else, we walked another 10 minutes, crossing crazy driver filled streets. When we got back that night - 8:30PM and quite dark, we had to walk back, unaccompanied by anyone from the tour. Florence may be safe but with all the crazy drivers, street folks and graffiti, walking in a relatively unfamiliar place in the dark is scary. This was only our third day in Italy, still a bit jet lagged and although all 4 in our party walk daily, seldom do we hit the 20,000 step count. We did on this trip. Tour buses are not allowed to park anywhere near the destinations, adding to the walking involved. I would guess there was an extra 4 miles of walking that wasn’t advertised. Sienna, San Gimignano and Pisa were what we expected, educating ourselves before the trip. Old towns have charm and history. We have lost that in today’s world and it’s helpful to walk back in time. We didn’t care for all the vendors hawking their cheap wares or “real” Rolexes; they are everywhere, but that wasn’t the tour company’s issue but something you should be aware of. And really, a Euro for a generic bottle of water on the bus? The winery was lovely - beautifully situated in the mountains with gorgeous views. I didn’t care for the spaghetti with crumbled beef and little other flavor. The wine was ok. This tour is contracted from Walk About as Viator is simply a reseller. While the coach bus was clean and comfortable with USB ports between the seats to recharge our phones, their signs for Walk About are plastered on all the windows at my eye sight line - annoying when trying to watch the scenery. As mentioned a couple of times, there are crazy drivers everywhere, including motorcycles and scooters weaving in and out and between lanes. If you don’t want to rent a car or train hop between these beautiful cities, take this tour. Again, there wasn’t anything Mano could not answer and Giuseppe kept us safe on the roads. Just know that in addition to the hills and dales associated within these areas, there is a lot of walking to get from the bus to the places and back again.
