What an amazing 2 days exploring the vast and captivating landscape Cape Range NP has to offer. Ian is an incredible guide. He taught us so much about the local flora and fauna and brought so much passion and enthusiasm to our trek. The structure of the hike was perfect, a good pace with enough stops to refuel and take in our surroundings. All equipment provided was top notch and the meals and snacks were unreal!! We were so grateful to experience this part of our country that little travel through. It was truly an experience we will remember forever and a great introduction to overnight hikes!! Would 100% recommend Trek Ningaloo to anyone consider them for your next adventure!

Our small family group of 3 went on a private overnight loop trek with Ian. We had a fantastic experience. From the first minute Ian’s enthusiasm for Cape Range set the scene as he shared his knowledge of the range, the reef, flora, fauna and the night sky. Ian provided quality equipment, nutritious food and snacks, with some welcome chocolate surprises along the way. More importantly for us we valued Ian’s genuine hospitality. A wonderful, wholesome way to connect with each other. Highly recommended Ian as a guide, and his overnight trek. Do it - create a fabulous memory.

What an incredible two days!! I’ve just returned from the Sunset Reef & Range Overnight Loop. This was a unique trekking experience….prepare to be mesmerised by the deeply incised, burnt orange-red coloured canyons of Cape Range meeting the stunning turquoise-blue waters of the Ningaloo Reef located on the western cape of Exmouth, Western Australia. The scenery is nothing short of breath taking and the feeling of getting away from it all is both revitalising and energising. Guided by the wonderful and insightful Ian Vickers, this is a must do activity for your next visit to the region. This trek definitely has it all, from watching the spectacular sunset overlooking the Indian Ocean with wine and cheese to observing the whales frolicking at sunrise and finishing up snorkelling on the reef. With a deep knowledge of the local flora, fauna and geology, Trek Ningaloo certainly delivered on their promise for an unforgettable adventure. And to make it super easy, Trek Ningaloo provided all the hiking gear including backpack, walking pole, gators, tent, sleeping gear, food, door-to-door pickup and drop off. The experience was seamless from start to finish.

A really fantastic way to experience Cape Range NP & Ningaloo, with stunning views of the reef and range as you traverse through a variety of habitats. The trek is well organised and at a great pace. If you can carry a pack (12-15kg) I highly recommend the overnight experience, if not definitely still join a day trek!

An amazing experience. We have lived in Exmouth for 20 years and have never experienced the range perspective like this. The tour was fantastic, Ian is a great guide. The tour is so varied and well planned, the pace was great for our group. The rest stops were timed perfectly and we never felt rushed! If you want a totally unique experience, this is it!

Fantastic trip with Ian on his 2 day overnight hike. The equipment he provides is high quality; the knowledge he has of this amazing part of the world is immense… from plants to animal life to history. A truly unique experience that we were lucky to share with 2 dear friends celebrating birthdays. Camping on the top of the range watching the sunset with beers & G & Ts that hubby carried 🥵… was the icing on the cake. Totally at ease camping under the stars as Ian has thought of everything… book this trip, you’ll miss out on a magical experience that is challenging but soooo rewarding if not!

Very well organised trek at a relaxed pace, allowing us to absorb the stunning scenery and wildlife. We loved sleeping under the stars, in a spectacular, isolated location with a full moon rising. Special memories.

My son (10 years old) and I had an incredible first-time camping experience with Trek Ningaloo. Ian was a fantastic guide who shared lots of information on the history, flora, fauna and geography of the area. The trip was very educational and my child was interested and engaged the entire time. It was clear that much thought went into the two-day itinerary and the items we carried in our packs. Ian and I carried most of the items from my son’s backpack to lighten his load, but it was still very manageable for me. The hikes were just the right distance to experience multiple terrains and feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. We traveled half-way around the world to swim with Ningaloo’s whale sharks, but it was this camping trip that we will remember most. I highly recommend this trip for adventurous families!
