What To Expect
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
This unique and sacred place is a must see place in Ubud. There are many wild life inside the thick forest. Walk along the path under the shade and see many birds, lizards, butterflies and monkeys among the trees. It is a perfect set for the real wild life. There are 3 sacred temples to balance this area. Local people usually come to pray on a special ceremony day.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Fabulous scenes of the green rice paddies. Stroll through the famous rice fields. See how the farmers do their daily activities, and after the walk, dine in a small restaurant with wonderful views of the jungle and the Tegalalang valley.

5.00This was a very good example of a good tour during a vacation. My goal was to do one tour showing me the best highlights of the ubud area. This was a good tour to do that. We went to Monkey Forest, the purification temple, waterfall, coffee plantation. a stop at an art village and visited a wood working store that show actual artisans making the pieces that were available to buy. We bought a few small items that would fit into our baggage. A special mention for our tour guide: Adhi. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. In the monkey forest he provided good insights on the monkeys. His knowledge of Balinese Hinduism while taking us round the temple was of particular interest to me and gave me a better understanding of the culture on this jewel of an island. This was a good tour and I definitely recommend it if you want to do one tour that gives you the highlights of the ubud and a knowledgeable guide to give you cultural background.

5.00We had a lovely time with Wayan on our Ubud tour! He had expert knowledge on the area and very accommodating to our activities and breaks. We visited the a Bali swing first thing and it included several different photos in the dress they provide you. We then went to the rice fields, and water temple. We taught us about the offering so we could make a blessing while in the temple and got to feed some coy fish. Brought us to a lovely lunch as well. We also went to a surprise coffee place called Bali cat poo cino — this place was lovely! Amazing tea and coffee tasting and a great addition to our day. It was a full day event as well, we started at 8am and ended at 5pm. It was also a nice private tour for my friend and I so we got princess treatment. It’s great for all ages. Many thanks to Wayan for all this help!

5.00Wayan was a wonderful guide. He showed us the swing, Tegallalang rice terrace, the sastria lumak cafe and the water temple. Unfortunately due to the weather we could not see the monkey forest nor the waterfall. Wayan was very accommodating to our needs. We did not purify ourselves in the bath at the temple but he shared with us alternate options like soaking our hands to experience the blessing and vitality of the temple. We enjoyed feeding the fish at the temple at the pond and sampling the tea and coffee at the cafe. The swing experience was so fun. Highly recommend touring Ubud with Wayan!
