Gallerie Degli Uffizi
One of the world’s oldest art museums, the Uffizi was built by architect Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century to house government offices. It was only later that the building was used to showcase art collected by Florence’s ruling Medici family, and not until 1769 that it was turned into a public museum. The repository of more 1,500 works dating from Greek times to the 18th century, the core of the Uffizi is its unmissable collection of Renaissance art. Your tour concentrates on these, as your guide leads you around the highlights of the Renaissance rooms, home to great works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and others. Enter the spectacular Botticelli Room and wonder at his The Birth of Venus and Primavera as your guide explains their composition and meaning, and the nature of Botticelli’s genius. Then, continue to see masterpieces such as da Vinci’s breathtaking Annunciation, Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo and works by Rafael.

The museum is crowded- having personal guide made it much easier for us! The three of us thought having a personal guide with tickets made it much easier.

Not clear where to meet- would have helped if designated near river side but did find eventually . Was difficult to find way out of gallery when we had to leave tour early

This isn’t really a skip the line situation. It certainly did help to have a guide but there is still quite a line. It felt like too many people are given the same time. The place was packed and getting in felt chaotic. Our guide was very good but showed a limited number of items with detail. It would have been nice to have a bit more guidance on how to tackle the rest of the museum.

Spend more hours following tour! Our guide gave lovely depth to a few notable pieces, and moved through the rest.

Amazing experience I will never forget. Highly recommend this booking so you can learn the context behind the famous historic pieces vs. without one. It's a once in a lifetime experience, so just do it if you can.

It was great but it wasn’t skip the line as we paid for. We waited for 45’. However, once we were inside, we were entranced. Worth it

Seeing the Uffizi with a guide like Annette made the experience so much more rewarding. She took us through all the main “must see” works, as well as others. Annette did a great job job putting things in context, and explaining things that we wouldn’t have known had we done the gallery on our own. Highly recommend this tour,

We were not able to open the app - it kept sending me a link but would never let me login to access my tickets. I tried to find the tour company and called the 800 number at Viator but was never able to get access to my ticket so we missed the whole thing.

Despite "Skip the line" booking, our group stood on line for 1 hour of this 1.5 hour tour. The guide was very good but the logistics were poor. We had to leave the group at 2:10 due to other plans and we viewed only 4 rooms with art. Very disappointed in the product we received for the cost we paid.

The gallery is huge. Our guide focused on three artists. I thought this worked out well, and we were able to learn more about DaVinci, Rahael, and Michelangelo. Good guide. Great English
